Bolton fan here.
Sky Sports News tells me that we are in talks with Callum Davenport over a 3 million deal.
Is Davenport any good.
Is he worth 3 million.

Davenport is a good centre back! Ideally wouldn't want him to leave, be a shame if does. Solid at the back and also very cool and tidy on the ball. If you do get him you've got a good buy!

He is worth at least £30m! Buy him quick before Real Madrid beat you to it!

Hes a poor defender, for 500k I would snap your hand off, let alone 3mil!

He has been solid anytime he has featured this season, it's just unfortunate that he has found himself behind Upson and Collins and with the emergence of Tomkins he is probably going to find himself as 4th choice CB by the end of the season.

I think he's good. There's goals in him from set pieces too, with a bit more work on the training ground.

If you really need a centre-back, 3 million is good money. West Ham have been coining it in recently with some really over-inflatedly (is that a word) priced players bringing in the dosh. Sunderland paid WAAYYYY over the odds for McCarthey and Ferdinand. Even Fulham gave us a pretty penny for Pantsil and Zamora. I rate McCarthey and Pantsil, but Ilunga is much better and isn't on a medical bench all the time.

Only Birmingham seem to be buying at the right price - Bowyer for 750,000quid is good money, if he stays fit. Now we're adding Davenport and Boa Morte for 5million - just Neill to go.

Getting all these fringe players of the wage bill is just what we were told the club's intention was, (along with investing in the club's young talent and getting Zola's own players), so this is all encouraging. Whos says we get lied to?

let's wait and see kamagloire, still got to endure a nervy week or two in the transfer window and most of the signings are done last minute! i hope the club stick to their word, i'm liking what has been done so far though!

Davenport is much improved since his return from fracturing his neck, he's recently had some very good games for us but Collins and Upson are better so he is always going to be third choice whilst at UP which I don't think he is happy about.

Top player who is worth every penny.

Your defence would be very much improved. He should be in the West Ham team over Collins and Neill everyday.
