Barton...

Premier League Portsmouth

I'd take him, he's a quality midfielder and apparently a completely rehabilitated tax paying member of society...

Ps he'd score a few goals too!

For someone who supports a team who signed ALI DIA, I fail to see how any comment he makes about football or footballers can be taken seriously.

OK derickshowers, so you punched a work mate. I assume you only did it once and have not attempted to maim people who work for other firms while you were at work.
I also assume that, when not at work, you have not attacked people, on more than one occasion, and kicked them while they are on the ground.
I assume that, having made the one mistake, you have not made a habit of it.

Now check out Barton's record.

Barton has a problem, and while TA may personally have helped rehabilitate him, I fail to see why Portsmouth FC should become a rehabilitation centre.

Barton may have footballing ability, but he has problems that I think PFC would be stupid to take a risk with.

Signing Barton would be a big gamble, and the odds are stacked against it being a success.

there is allways 2 sides 2 every story...... utaka & co are wrongns in other ways they cost betweem um about £15 million[robbery] & basicley are very poor footy players that sort of wrong. joe baton has made mistakes, but we all have .personly last year i punched a work mate straght in the head because he kept on & on , we kissed & made up later & both , both regreted it .hurry up and sign barton T.A at leased you get a reaction out of him unlike 3 or 4 of arrys top signings....

More derrickshowers please. These are the kind of hilarious monologues not seen since Alan Bennett gave up telly.

"I'll support Pompey through thick or thin. Premier League, Blue Square Prem, whatever. But I refuse to support a team with a thug like him in it. I'm sure many others feel the same way."

Spot on Prosinecki. As I've alredy said in an earlier post my son and I will be 2 of them for starters and I've been following Pompey through thick and thin for nearly 40 years and he has for 15 years!

So, TSW stands for Television South West Idiot!

That figures, as you support a club that, not only signed Ali Dia, many customers would like to see the manager who signed him, back at the club.

Nope! I still think it means The Stupid Winker!

biggrin

derickshowers says, 'i dont remember seeing barton hang n round boys toilets'

The question has to be asked, what was he doing hanging around boys toilets to notice that barton was not about?
