Haye v Vitali= Off- Haye v Wlad= On?

comment on the article

This might be brilliant news for Haye. I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks Haye has a much greater chance v Wlad than against Vitali, so IF Haye was to beat Wlad, imagine the mega-fight with Vitali....the cash would be there, the occasion would be there, the 2 top heavyweights going at it.

Here's to hoping that this marks the beginning of the Heavyweight division returning back to its best

Why don't people do some research before posting threads? Vitaly is required by WBC to fight a highest ranked chellanger. All that Haye did was fight two second rate boxers in the heavy division. His contention holds no water whatsoever. All he has done so far is run his mouth, which I'm looking forward to seeing get punched shot by either Klichko brother, it really doesn't matter which one.

Presumably the mandatory defence has come early enough that a summer fight is no longer on. With most (all?) of the 'challengers' in this division a joke, the Klitschkos (one or both, probably both) will have to fight Haye sooner or later.

Chukcha,
your a little opinionated for someone suggesting he is seeing things more clearly than others. It's correct to say Haye hasn't established himself at heavy but not correct to say all Haye has done is run his mouth.
With heavyweight division the way it is the unified cruiser champion is entitled to cause a stink going up to heavy.
If you seriously think Wlad will 'punch Haye shot' then I would suggest your obvious dislike of Haye is clouding your judgment. It's certainly the case that Haye could come accross better to the media at times but, Wlad is not even close to a credible heavyweight champion. The first good heavyweight he fights will result in him getting knocked out again.
It's looking like that will Haye.

With the heavyweight division as poor as it is, if ever there was a time for the unified cruiserweight champion to make a splash it is now. Haye knows it and he's not hiding it. If I were of his ability in this era of boxing I'd probably be exactly the same (if he said it in the 70s he'd be delusional, but not now). And with his all-action style, he can beat or be beaten by anyone, so there's more risk taking an 'easier' fight he could still lose and look bad in losing. There's no such shame losing to the best.

Vitali would be a much tougher prospect than Wladimir.

Wlad is "chinny" to say the least and Haye has proven he can throw them with power and speed, he is bound to catch Wladimir with at least a few Hayemakers. If the fight goes ahead, I can see Haye winning by KO.

Vitali, as I said, would be a tougher prospect and I couldn't see Haye knocking the bigger man out, so its good news for Haye that Vitali is looking elsewhere.

Imho he woulda been better off with Vatali.... Yep, as speculated, Wlad is chinny, but his probs have only come against proven chins... and, basically he's punched himself out and knackered waiting to be put away!! It has always been acknowledged by the brothers that the true boxing technician is Wlad - I'd be surprised if Haye went five!!

Wlad a mile better for him that Vitali - Vitali too hard - I see Haye riding the Wlad jab with his superior speed and getting enough big swinging right hands over the top to make WLad hit the canvas at least once if not more.
Wildcard of course is if Hay can take a bang on the chin without going down himself

i fear for Haye.. Evander Holyfield made the transition from Cruiser king to Heavyweight Champ because of his unbelievable ability to take punishment from much larger men..Haye doesn't have this ability. Saying that he has a decent chance if he goes for Wlad, he's nothing special, Vitali?..hardly likely

a total punch of tubes the lot of the heavyweights.i wish david haye luck though as he has geniune speed, power and skills but i have doubts about him beating the much bigger Klitschko brothers.haye is what heavyweight boxing needs at the moment someone who can knockout fighters.
