That's the banner headline on the front of this mornings Derby Telegraph, with a terrific photo of the young Nigel Clough recieving the Allestree Juniors player of the year trophy from his proud dad.

"I know Derby County inside out. It has always had a special place in mine and my family's hearts and I know that this is one of the most exciting jobs in football "

"Derby County has everything – tremendous support, a first-class stadium, magnificent training facilities and an ambitious ownership group looking to grow the club even further.

Yep, over to you Cloughie...

Lets hope he doesnt use the outdated methods his father became best known for towards the end of his career at Forest.....its all about tactics these days, not nightcaps and gee-ups.

Good luck to Nigel Clough from a Red.

Great footballer, it was a privilege to spend 9 years watching him in a Forest shirt home and away. He decided it was time to give it management a go at a higher level, and quite rightly he's starting at the bottom and work your way up?

He'll be ready for Forest in a few years time, just like his dad was.

As a Forest supporter, can I just say that I'm actually pleased for Nigel Clough. It was a pleasure watching him wear the Forest shirt for 9 years home and away, winning trophies and taking us to Wembley regularly in the late 80's / early 90's.

Cloughie is doing it the right way, starting with a small club, learning the trade at the bottom and working his way up. In a few years time he'll be ready to manage Forest once he's completed his training and ready to make the step-up, just like his dad.

DerbyRam88, What planet are you on..?
Most forest fans didnt want nige to be the manager, and lets face it you got him cos we didnt want him.. and to be honest i think he is going to struggle. Lets see how big that grin is at the end of the season.

Yes, I think we got the message. Twice.
But quite why you think Nigel will want to drop into the third division to manage you lot if he ever leaves us is beyond me...
There's only ever going to be one other Clough dynasty ~ and it's going to happen here. Get used to it.
