Boyd Out, Healy InRangers by We Welcome The Chase (U13763102) 07 January 2009 It was reported in the Belfast Telegraph today that Rangers will bid £1m for David Healy when Kris Boyd signs for Birmingham at the end of the week. I see this as a huge gamble as although I think Healy would do well in the SPL, I couldnt see him getting anywhere near the same ammount of goals as Boyd. It just baffles me that we are willing to let the leagues top goalscorer go when we need him most. Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

We Welcome The Chase (U13763102) posted Jan 7, 2009 Yes but there is a big difference between the premier league & SPL, Money. You get more getting finishing bottom of the league and getting relegated than you winning the champions league. In my opinion it has wrecked the english game. If Sunderland were in the SPL they would not have the money to throw £60m down the drain like Keane did.

Of course he wasnt.Healey went to Preston I think anyway and was terrible there he then moved to Leeds and still his form at this Level wasnt great. He got another crack at the big time with Fulham and lets be honest the only reason he did was because of Lawrie Sanchez, his ex International manager.Dont get me wrong if I was Lawrie and knew what Healey could do on the Internation stage and had worked with him,id probably have took a gamble and signed him also. The Premiership was a step up too much for Healey.Roy Keane took another gamble and give him another crack but lets be honest as good as Roy was a player his decisions when signing players werent great which ended in his down fall.I think Healey has been lucky with NI and some of the wonderful goals he scored but when it comes to being a decent player he just isnt.Great players are players who can turn it on for both country and club alike.I think Rangers would be crazy to sign him as even the SPL would be above Healeys level.

Lets put it like this, if Rangers and Ceptic got into the EPL, they are going to get more money, bigger better deals..so if you wher a player in that case, who would you rather play for, Aston Villa, or Glasgow Rangers or Celtic to of thee most renowned names in football? i think that answers itself! so in otherwords we'd attract better players!! now step down of your high pirch.Sunderland and Birmingham are awful teams.

Not convinced, what I’ve read and seen he’s outstanding for Northern Ireland, but a very average club footballer. Haven’t we already got one of those in lafferty? might as well hand the title to celtic now for there 4 in a row..... from a very disgruntled gers fan!
