Live - Tuesday's Carling Cup

League Cup
comment on the article

The forgotten competition? Not a bit of it. Not to holders Tottenham or Championship side Burnley, anyway.

Welcome to coverage of the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final from White Hart Lane.

Two games away from Wembley and a shot at winning a trophy and qualifying for Europe. It's a big one, make no mistake about that.

Enjoy your evening.

why is the BBC becoming so picky about the content on this web page? You can't even use mildly derogetory words about Burnley now. Pathethic!

Had Spurs not equalised so early in the second half, this game could have been enormously different.

Well done to Burnley for their first half performance, but they didn't keep it tight for the beginning of the second half, and paid the price.

Yeah ha ha ha...
Those Arsenal kids...5th in the league,
Last 16 of Champions
League

Their Rubbish.

Why don't they take a leaf out of Tottenhams book.
Then they'd be in final of the Fizzy cola cup and 2 points off the bottom of the Premier League.
doh

Lets see whos playing in what competition and what trophies whos picked up at the end of the season. Arsenal were supposed to be a big club and the way they are dropping out of the running is pretty shocking really considering how good they were and that all the foundations to build a world class side are there a luxury which most clubs have not got. This is the worst arsenal side in quite some time and with the mixed messages from wenger and the fact he has stated there is not that much money to spend things arent exactly going to transform quickly.

Yeah worst Arsenal side in some time!!

5th in league and in last 16 of Champions League.

Maybe when we get Rosicky, Edwardo, Walcott, Fabregas back we just might stay ahead of Spurs in the league, if your still in it!!!

laugh
