Bullard to go is etuhu the man for the job?

Premier League Fulham
comment on the article

Hi guys,

bullard is a key player for fulham however if he is to go then can etuhu be the player we need or do we need to buy in January. Watchin etuhu step in for bullard at the chelsea game suprised me as he did well but didnt really produce options when attacking, is this his downfall ?

Etuhu is definitely not Jimmy but he had a good shot saved by the post on Saturday. Quite athletic guy, tall and strong.
Have seen that Murphy is playing more the role of Bullard by supplying the front line. May be Roy is trying the after-Bullard era?
Hoping Jimmy will stay!

Intersting call and I think Roy is no numpty, I'm sure he was looking at it for 60 mins against Sours, all of Chelsea and Sheff Wed. Its all very defensive, that's ok because that's what he is. I naturally prefer Bullard and Murphy with Etuhu ready to shore it up on the bench. I will however say he has done a terrific job while Bullard has been on his sick bed.

The good thing Roy has done is to create a settled team who play better & better as a unit as they become more accustomed to each other.

Unfortunately the downside is that fringe players find it hard to get a game & so it takes them longer therefore to settle in - it's good that Etuhu's getting some games. Another downside is that players get itchy if they feel they're out of favour - I think Dempsey was one of those earlier this season & Andreasen I believe is making similar noises. I don't know what the solution is to this, as the team fits together so well at the moment, but there always comes a time when you're going to need replacements.

Murphy has done well to step up and fill in on the creative side while Jimmy is out. Ethuhu has simply backfilled on the defensive side and is probably the longer term replacement for Murphy. If Jimmy goes in the summer we have a problem.

Etuhu is pretty good and has done well, he and Murphy work well. I haven't been Murphy's greatest advocate of late but the pass to Johnson on Saturday for the opener was pure class. Through the eye of a needle from the outside of his boot! Nice.

Anyway, my mums best friends, second cousins, neighbours husbands, eldest son who knows the groundsman youngest daughter - said Jimmy was staying! So there you have it, official, his word is his bond, set in stone, can't say fairer than that, I'm not saying it again, there it is in black and white - JB is staying at Fulham! winkeye

Bullard is over rated. Not as good as everyone makes out. Dont get me wrong im a big bullard fan but he aint worth 50k a week. If we can get 6 mill for him, take it! 6 mill plus 4 mill out the kitty we can buy a top notch playmaker.

We need to move upwards and onwards as a club. Bullard is very good but not exceptional, lets cash in!
