Perhaps he's not being greedy - and actually wants to stay at Rangers unless it's for a life changing number?

I think this would be a good move for Boyd. Firstly, he could actually test himself against decent opposition in both the championship and the prem. Secondly, if he does do well and is half as good rangers fans make out he will be bought by a bigger team. To say he shouldn't go is nonsence. Why? Rangers will do nothing in the champions league in the short team. Needing to sell players is clearly an indication of how far they are likely to go. Group stages, and then UEFA cup - if they are lucky.

I think Brum have had a lucky escape from a player who's attitude and ambition is questionable. I think the player is like Ferguson in mentality and 'loves being a big fish in a small pond'. Ferguson couldn't hack it because he was out of his comfort zone. Boyd knows the same would happen to him.

Selling Boyd would be the most stupid thing Rangers could do at the moment. I really cant see big Kyle Lafferty scoring 20+ goals from now until the end of the season and im sure any other fan with a brain wouldnt disagree with me. If you sell Boyd David Murray, you've gave another league title to Celtic.

I would like to see Boyd stay just like 72% (or maybe it was 74%) of the newspaper poll this weekend. Paper talk also of Newcastle wanting Mendes. After all who would would slow coach Ferguson?. Can I ask for sensible answers in why Alan Gow is not getting a chance with Gers?. He looks to have more talent than most of the current squad and is a good finisher

This is probably a move that Rangers have to make. As a brum fan, it would be nice to get him, and he would have a few mates down here to help him settle in. Dodds questions whether a move would damage Rangers Title hopes, well I watch a lot of scots football on Setanta, and though I think the standards in scotland have risen immensly over the last couple of years, Celyic are still way better than Rangers at the moment, though Rangers were dreadfully unlucky in the last game. Realistically, Rangers dont have a Title shot(and i hope im wrong there). The only thing keeping Celtic close to the rest is Artur Burucs inability in goal. SpanishJohn, ur right about Ferguson, perhaps the most overrated player in the Big two teams. His temper would let him down in England, where refs would not look after him.

Boyd deliberately asked for too much money, knowing that he would be rejected at Birmingham, he also knows that he is not going to cut it anywhere outside and average SPL. This really explains why he had asked for 20grant. I personally dont really care about all this hum-drum of rangers needing to balance the books! What I do care about is that overweight players getting so much space in the broad sheets. boyd is definately one of them, at best average, who is likely to score perhaps 8 goals per season outside the spl.

Spanish John - about Alan Gow , i heard months ago that he had a stand up fight with Kenny Mcdowall and so was put up for transfer immediately. It seems a shame as he looked as if he could have a turn for us. What seems to give this credance is the fact that even as he apparently has a hip injury noticed at his recen medical Walter still thinks he could help another team , in other words anyone except Rangers.- Why not keep him and use him for us instead!

As far as Fergie goes i think his number is up although with Thomson out for the season i dont think we can sell him unless big Edu steps up to the mark. WATP.

your selling these players because you need the money more!

as for Boyd and the 91 goals i think an earlier stat showed how many of them were against the bottom sides"

Yeah, the same bottom sides sides that Celtic's strikers play against but score fewer goals!
