Diop will be out for 3 months+ but Glen Johnson, Younes Kaboul and John Utaka all returned to training last week and should be fit to play City!

Thats good news especially as City some major injury problems at the moment.
Lets hope having Johnson and Kaboul back for Saturday helps us get three much needed points.

Although these three players are welcome returnees perhaps the most needed is Diop. It's a pity that he will be out for such a long time as at the moment we appear a bit bereft in midfield. He was playing to a good standard away to Arsenal last weekend before his injury.

Does anyone know how poor little Defoe's headcold is getting on? winkeye. Or did he simply have a 36-hour hangover from drinking far too much CHAVpagne on New Year's Eve?

Maybe we should kipnap Mendes, put him in a Richard Hughes disguise, force him to play this one game and hope he sparks the season again.

Kidnapping might work better though, would involve less fish.

Good news on the Kaboul and Johno front, I thought Diop played really well at the emirates and will be missed over the coming months. Hopefully GJ will sign his contract extension.

With Diarra gone, Diop out, and of course Mendes and Muntari leaving last summer, should Adams be looking at purchasing someone?

The shopping list is getting longer - the way I see it, we need a striker to replace Defoe, a right midfielder, centre midfield, centre back (Campbell isn't getting much younger!) and maybe to think about another keeper.

at the start of the season probably all we badly need was a RM, our team has ben ripped apart

now we pretty much have no midfield at all. we currently need two high quality CMs and maybe a RM. use nugent till the end of the season to fill in upfront/on the right

at the end of the season, get rid of campbell and kanu (who must both be at the high end of the payroll) and buy a CB and stiker
