United fan in peace. He has been prolific in the mexican league, could be a really, really good signing for you lot. make sure you put a £10-20 mil release cause in his contract because if he can carry his form from mexico over to england, he could be on his way out in the summer.

Fingers crossed he is. I have heard as long as a work permit is allowed next week the deal is done. Heskey will beleaving whether Jan or Summer , King not good enough and Zaki probably leaving we need strikers. Hope thsi lad fulfills his potential.

the release clause is a great idea.... but im in 2 minds about him...could be a great player...or could be in case of shevchenko where as he is quality in one league and useless in another

Too early to say whether he's a star signing or not. But for what we've reportedly paid for him, I'm happy. At least we've bought him rather than got him on loan.

I have not seen much of Rodallega to be honest, but had a scan on you tube and he looks a decent player. Good finisher, power and got pace aswell. I'm happy hes been signed outright instead of on loan. Building a good side we are and i'm very optimistic the team will finish in the top half.

Since the primary language in Colombia is Spanish he should be able to communicate with Valencia, Palacios and Figueroa which should help him settle in.

Hopefully he's a good signing but you never know with foreign players until they've actually played in the Prem.

He looks a quality player although I am a bit doubtful whether he can adapt - Julius Agahowa anyone?

According to the gossip column, if the deal goes through then Henri Camara will be going to Stoke for £1 million. How do we feel about that? Is camara quality or not? Personally I am not too fussed about him providing we get a replacement because with Hesk leaving if Zaki or Rodagella get injured, Kapo is the only one to take his place!! Gutted!! :D

what a player you guys are signing, he's been class ever since he top scored at a south american youth tournament a few seasons ago. i reckon he's gonna be perfect foil for Zaki and the two of them together will fire the goals need to propel wigan into the european places.

With the captures of Luis Valencia, Wilson Palacios, Zaki and now Rodallega, someone needs to reward Wigan's scouts with hefty pay rises post haste.

it's also good to see they're willing to take chances in the market where other clubs don't. Zaki was brilliant at the African Cup of Nations along with the vast majority of the Egyptian side. it seems strange that others from that side, Mohammed Zidan, Hosni Abd Rabou and Mohammed Abou'Trika amongst others have not been snapped up cos they would be pretty cheap and certainly have quality

delgado is no rodallega though!
rodagol as he is known has a good record,,, maybe not so much with colombia so much that they dont want him to play for his country...
but his club record is good.
give him a chance... and to the guy that said the scout should be rewarded damn right... the quality he got speaks for itself
