Quincy Honest Opinions..........

This is how I saw it. I suppose its nice to be able to second guess the manager.

Honest opinion is at Wycombe and at home to Barnsley he looked like a world beater. He got carried started slackin (which I assumed was his failings at Arsenal) and never really tried hard.

To be honest if we signed him he would have become an enigma always promising so much but delivering not much.

Behind the scenes I hear he was a disruptive character and eck wasn't keen from day one.

It may well be the managers views transpired to the player and he stopped performing as he felt unwanted and was maybe protecting himself from injury.

The writing has been on the wall for sometime, for me it started at Forest when he was snubbed even though it was obvious we need pace on the break then some matches he couldn't even make the bench at home!!!

The final nail in the coffin. Murphy whilst injured was preferred on the wing to him.

What's more worrying is apparently we would rather buy 3 players with the Quincy money??? Obvious that Eck has lots of cash to spend...NOT!

''In the Swansea City game - by which time Quincy had already been told he would not be staying, incidentally - there was that moment at the end when Cameron Jerome laid the ball back across the face of goal and he was 30 yards away when he should have anticipated what was going on and bust a gut to get into the box''.

pretty much sums it up really, but i still think he would have been worth keeping at least as an impact player coming on against tired legs.

imo alex and his staff did not get the best from a player that many of you have said to be promising but didnt deliver.

i personnally think under different management and with a different atmosphere down the ground he would have blossomed,if we were first, playing good football in front of full houses he would have destroyed.

been slated time and time again for defending him and jerome,oh well he has gone now, another promising star sent away and in my opinion not played regularly enough to shine in a short time.

when he sells jerome you can all concentrate on slagging the board off as there wont be anyone left that run faster than my nan so heres to slow back passing negative football
cheers

Taity he left because he was expensive and rubbish.

It appears you like fast players who do not deliver. I don't now where you have seen Quincy & CJ performing well and consiustently well. Neither have done this in thier time at the blus (6 months and 2.5 years respectivley)

TAKE A FAST FORWRAD LIKE JEROME AWAY(WHO HAS NO PARTICULAR STRIKE PARTNER,AND WHO DOES NOT CONSISTENTLY START)THEN IN MY OP YOU TAKE AWAY AN ATTACKING THREAT
FACT
HE HAS MORE TO OFFER IF GIVEN THE CHANCE IMO.

SINCE HIS 20 GOALS IN ONE SEASON(WHICH U CANT FLUKE) HE HAS PLAYED UNDER THE WRONG TACTICS IMO

TAKE ALL THE PACE OUT THE SIDE AND WE WILL IMPROVE.....<YIKES>

WE WOULD ALL LIKE TOTAL SKILL FOOTBALL BUT WERE BIRMINGHAM CITY!!!!

LOOK AT TOP AND SECOND!!!!!!!!!
POINT PROVEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AJ GOOD EXAMPLE,YOU SAY HEINSIGHT IS A GOOD THING...WHAT ABOUT FORESIGHT?

Jerome has all his short commings, yes he cant pass. He cant read the game and lacks composure.

But he was not that bad when we first had him so having the wrong set up/players to support him and lack of confidence has been his short commings more than his ability or lack of!

If we had Larsson and McSheffey on the wings playing like they did last time in Championship and Bendtner to support him Jerome maybe would be more of a threatok

I think confidence is a factor, last game of the season the side played without fear, like McLeishs first game look at our performances. The 2nd Tottenham game could be just ridding from the confidence of the last result against them.

Sadly i dont think our side complements players with pace or skill.

Jerome is also a bad striker on his own, he needs a partner to start with him. And it has to be the right one.

Jerome and Quincy are suited more to playing on wings in a 4,3,3 i,e RF and LF with a Striker in the middle.

BARRING FRANK AND CARS NO ONE SEEMS TO BE PLAYING WELL OR TO THEIR STRENGHTS.

I WOULD RATHER SEE AITKEN AND AM GO BEFORE ANY MORE OF OUR UNDER PERFORMING PLAYERS.THE BUCK STOPS WITH THEM FIRST AND FOREMOST AND THEN THE PLAYERS THEMSELVES.

WE COULD SIGN FABREGASS GERRARD VAN PURSIE JOE COLE AND MESSI AND THEY WOULD STILL GET IT WRONG.

TOO MANY OF OUR PLAYERS PLAYED WELL FOR US A SEASON OR TWO AGO,NOT ANYMORE.

I HOPE AM PROVES ME WRONG AND COMES UP WIYH SOME IDEAS,IF WE DONT GO UP OR IMPROVE OUR FOOTBALL ILL BE WATCHING THEM ON THE TELE NEXT YEAR.AND AFTER 15 YRS OF FOLLOWING MY TEAM THATS NOT SOMETHING I SAY LIGHTLY.

Taity: At least here is something we agree on. Get rid of AM and his backroom staff and then see what these players can do.

I'm afraid in the past 12 monthjs since AM has joined we have not moved forward. I don't care if it is not wholly his team. All I care about is the blues doing well - even if it means failing to gain promotion as long as we play to the best of our abilities, even if these abilities aren't good enough.

Judging by many of these boards we all have opinions on the blues - the only growing concencus is that we are playing rubbish football and that AM should go.
