So we'll meet John Beck again if we beat Portsmouth and Histon beat Swansea.

We played Beck's Cambridge in the 5th round at AG in the late 80's and they were a big and intimadating team. We drew 0-0 and lost the 2nd replay (I think).

John Taylor and Dion Dublin played for them and I don't remember a Cambridge player under 6'2.

Beck was (sort of) famous for throwing buckets of ice cold water over his players before games, and making them do army assault courses in their time off.

Therefore we owe him one.....assuming we can beat a poor (and getting worse) Premier team first.

If I remember correctly we didn't just lose the replay to cambridge we got hammered 5-0?? So revenge would be nice.

On the football front, you deserved the replay yesterday..We were the home side, Premier, & despite having Peter Crouch upfront playing a lone-role which he was never bought for..Defoe had a sudden cold come-on..We have problems at Fratton..

I think your pompy boys will be in for a shick when they come down here, it can be very intimdating at the gate.

And dont think youve won it at 2 nil, middlseborough did 2 years back and we got back to 22, and shouldve won the game.

we were still in league one then too smiley

Funny thing is, is it me, or do Bristol City have a complex problem that just because we play in the Premier league, there is this thing that we are so arrogant at Fratton that we can't be beaten??..I obviously hope we don't, but am I missing something I don't know?..
