Means be quiet out of respect for a fella that died recently.

It doesn't mean sing and shout and laugh.

In fairness to you guys, despite the rivalry, I always expect good behaviour from Hibs fans.

Not any more. You lot should be ashamed of yourselves.

An utter disgrace.

Ooh, you wont find me buying unless it's British. Those pegs may shimer in the low winter sun. But they'll bend.

Anyhow, spare a thought for the welfare of British peg farmers, if the market is being flooded with cheap foreign alternatives.

Do your bit.

Thanks Glesgahibby.

This is why I enjoy the capital banter.
Most of it's in good spirit.

Every club has it's unwanted element but from what I understand it's a lot better now than it was in the 70's & 80's so at least progress is being made.

long may it continue

22,
If you had cared to read all of the posts regarding the breaking of the minutes silence at Tynecastle you would have read that I came on here and rollocked my fellow Hibs fans for their unacceptable behaviour.
You will also see that I went onto the Hearts board and made an unreserved apology for it.
No "you did it first to Dean Shields" or anything else, just a straightforward apology.
Maybe if you read all of the responses before posting you would not get so many peoples backs up.

I saw your response, wattie. I also saw all of the other initial responses from your fellow fans. Largely commendable.

They are duly noted. But then the mood quickly changed to one of pointing the finger elsewhere.

Maybe YOU should read all of the posts on this thread before judging my standpoint.

Your own comments are of course also commendable. But make sure you have all of the facts at hand before making any statement regarding my dilligence as a poster.

ok

I did read all the posts before responding to your outburst and my main point is that you have generalised wheras the apologies I made were specific to me and my feelings on the disgraceful conduct of some of the Hibs fans.
I also said it made no difference if only 1 fan or 10,000 were involved.it shows a lack of respect.
My point to you still stands, if you read my apologies, why generalise in your attack?

Going back over all the posts on this thread the following points i would like to state;

1. 22 the original post is a bit vague and does paint all Hibs supporters with same brush, although looking at your other posts on other threads it would be fair to say that this is not your overall point of view.

However as a Hibs supporter who was not at the match Sat, i am still ashamed that a minority whether 1 or 1000 or however many were involved so fit to wreck the silence.

2. Glesga maybe i was a bit hasty in attaching you to any blame, but the topic of finger pointing and scoring points of each other is futile as all clubs have there section of idiots.

3. Would like to finally state now that silences should only be for past legends of the sport. ie not for political, royalty or religious people at sporting venues, (my opionion only).

Davscotcar, I have let it be known in my earlier posts, how i feel regarding the minority of Hibs fans who spoiled the minutes silence, and to those so-called Hearts supporters who made me and other decent Hearts supporters ashamed, by hurling vile abuse at Dean Shields, i hope that they will not disgrace our club on Sunday, and leave Dean alone. As for the minutes silence you are right, it should only ever be used for sport, and not royalty, or religion.

I'm not going to condone the actions of some of the Hibs fans at Tynecastle as it is out of respect that they should of kept quiet as they would of expected the silence from Hearts fans if it was a Hibs player that had died.

However i must ask about the savvy of the Hearts board who decided it should be a silence rather than applause. With it being Hibs how could any of them think that Hibs fans would stay quiet? The reason applauses were brought in were to drown out the noise of the disrespectful idiots and with it being a derby then they should of surely made it an applause for the former captain.

Hibs fans were stupid for booing. Hearts board was stupid for making it a silence in the first place
