TILLY and BRUSHFA Cup Southend United by Spoons (U10822315) 03 January 2009 How good are Tilly and Brush, yes Chelsea battered us on shots and corners but we hung in there and got a result that only Southend fans could even hope for or expect. Kalou and lampard were very good on the day i thought, especially in the first half. theres something wrong at chelsea when you cant score with all the chances they had.

LondonsFinestClub (U11217560) posted Jan 5, 2009 No disrepect to the shrimpers but this is the second time in a week Chelsea have conceded at the death when they had dominated both games. It shows a lack of killer instinct and a lack of focus and concentration. O.k. lady luck hasn't shone on us a great deal over the past twelve months but you can't blame bad luck on late goals against Villa, Everton, Wigan and Bolton last season! Chelsea have forgotten how to close down a game and in their desperation to add more goals they keep getting caught. Scolari's attitude to goalscoring is admirable as was Grants but Football is also about defending and not handing out draws to teams that should have been beaten. These draws essentially cost Chelsea a title last season and it seems they could again this season. There are a lot of players talking a good fight but focus and concentration is required not excuses and wishful thinking. Chelsea must learn to believe in themselves again and recapture their confidence. I believe we need a psychologist to pep these guys up and a bit more discipline until the whistle is blown, this is why Mourinho was the master.

LondonsFinestClub (U11217560) posted Jan 5, 2009 Ironically enough we have scored more and conceded less than any other team so far this season, but it seems to be drying up of late. Drogba looks a shadow of his former self and Kalou and Malouda look ordinary. We need something expolisive andperhaps Love, Lavezzi or Fabiano can provide that. We need something different and Essien will provide more punch through the centre but we need two others a creative player like Tuncay and one of the aforementioned..........One more to go..two players in and we should be o.k. Lets be positive.
