Wonder if Karl Oyston would like to reimburse all the 'Pool fans who made the long trip down south.
At least we can concentate on the league. The result doesn't really surprise me.

Good post bpooler i think on balance we should give Parkes some assurances he has the job until May then address the manager post then.Larry for all his achievemnets left us up Skipool creek without a boat. That's footy and i'm not going to start slagging the fella off.
What is obvious is that without the loanees we're knackered -some of the permanent players have been good servants to the club some indifferent but too many are out of their depth in this league, difficult but true. The likes of West Ham and Liverpool will want to know there is stability at the club before sending their young 'uns back.
Let's not be too despondent i thought the Wolves game was cracking and Birmingham game has a lot of promise.
If Oyston wants to stay in this league and i believe with increased TV revenue he does he may have to speculate for if he doesn't it could go spectaculary wrong, the South stand will be abandoned because there will be no demand.
Not trying to be hysterical but feeling this next 2-3 weeks are crucial to what will happen at Bloomfield for the next few years.

Bye bye green, harte ( how is he in over martin), broomes (why), nardiello and Mcphee, get back reid and hammil, don,t expect any permanent signings with a temp manager, i,m gonna buck the trend here and say i don,t want to see Parkes and Tommo in the hot seat on a permanent basis, yes for now to sort out the mess, but at least for next season i would like to see a proven or up and coming manager come in, i,d have Boothroyd if it wasn,t for all the Watford fans saying they played terrible football, but he has won promotion from this league.

Evening mickey ,like you not sure if T&P are a long term option but they should be given a fair run then decide in May.Gooner for now we are stuck with them.
Beat Birmingham next week and it'll be Parkes for England.

creer,
What are you talking about 'it's not Oyston's fault' ?...of course it is !
He is the chairman of the board, the man who is supposed to ensure there is investment in the steady 'PROGRESS' of the club. The stark truth of the matter is that investment has been woefully inadequate.
Are you saying that all the loan signing, free transfers and laughing stocks are all down to Simon Grayson ?,i don't think so.
Anyone could see what was coming with regard to the problems of the mass exodus of players, what wasn't forseen was the ill timed exit of the manager.
We now have a crisis on our hands. If we don't invest heavily in better quality players NOW ,then we will go down.If that happens there is only one person to blame.....CARL OYSTON.....Blackpool's own Mr credit crunch.

Creer whilst i know not all of this mess can be laid at the door of KO he has to assume some responsibility. He is chairman of the club and it would seem that apart from finances he is not running the club well. There is a lack of investment both on and off the pitch. We entered the New year with the better half of our squad as loanees and knew they were scheduled to leave at the beginning of January.Do we really think Benitez or Zola are going to let young players who they are investing a lot of resources into go to a club who are still considered managerless and seem to be in dissarray.KO needs to grasp the nettle and come out and make a statement of intent about his short term plans i.e. the next 5 months and his longer term goals. The ground and the cost of attending are a joke which isn't funny, training facilities at the club are league 2 standards have they not been using Fylde RUFC's facilities and the actual team we have on the books are clearly not good enough. My other worry is that it could get worse-what if some club,Leeds for example came in for Edwards or Evatt their manager knows them and their fans are carping on about problems in central defence.Would Oyston refuse a million for the pair, saying that if they wanted to go they would.
I know that is a gloomy prospect but the club require some good leadership at this time and i for one am not confident KO can provide this.I genuinely hope i am proven wrong ,that we get some good players in and Parkes is given the job until the end of the season. The new stand is important but i would say that without our current league status it would be a white elephant. This is a crucial time for BFC but we are in the CCC and holding our own,the club is solvent and if we can stay where we are things will be much brighter and prosperous. We are going to get stick from our nice neighbours through this challenging period but we're going to have to suck it up and get behind the team. What i will say is if the same team that walked out in Torquay yesterday line up against Birmingham on Saturday it will be carnage.
Oyston needs to forget free pies and a bottle of pop and walk up to the plate.
BTW well done to those Blackpool fans that made the long journey south for that game

Having travelled to Macclesfield for our other cup fiasco I can understand those who travelled to Torquay feeling the way they do. Great support for such a long trip once again.

It is cup football though and Torquay were always going to give us a hard game. The Conferance is a higher standard than a few years ago.

The first goal was key and we didnt get it.

We arnt the first team to lose to giant killers and we wont be the last.

The big four were not in either cup final last year so all 8 lost to lesser teams including Liverpool and Man U at home. I cant recall any of them knocking each other out but I may be wrong.

This is what makes English football great to watch, it is hard to predict most results especially in the cup.

Torquay played well, we were poor it happens. The ref was a nightmare but torquay had the better chances and deserved to win.
Burgess did his best as did vaughan, evatt, coid and Barker. Nards did nothing except trying stupid flicks when we're one down, Southern barely saw the ball, we were hoofing it up to burgess every time and created nothing.
We clearly missed the loan players and GTF, Torquay's Giant keeper finished the game with a clean shirt, I don't remember him making a save!
Parkes shouldn't be blamed although I would have started with jorgensen as Fox and green were poor.
We need to sort something out soon if the same team play Birmingham we are in for a serious hiding.
