We need an International Class Manager

FA Cup Manchester City

Some of us have been saying it for weeks. I reiterate it now. The manager has to go. Bring back Sven, Immediately. Give him a crock of gold and see some real magic happening.

I am as mad as a sunburnt hornet. This is disgraceful. There are some players in that team that are not playing for him. They have no interest in performing for him. He has spent millions to "improve" on the team Sven built, and his signings have not been bad. Why, then, is the team so bad? Because they don't want to perform for him.

A supposedly inferior team performed much better for Sven last year. Why? Because they respected the Swede.

Get an International class manager if you want International class players to perform.

the curse of calderwood, nonsense!!! was it a curse when they achieved automatic promotion or just a couple of weeks ago won at southampton. This is not intelligent analysis, just reacting to results without any sense at all. I suppose if or when they loose games under davies it will be ' the curse of davies' and on and on and on and on....i must get off these boards as the level of intelligence is too low

Don't blame the players Sven took most of the same players and maintained a top ten position last season and in the early part of the season was up there. Hughes has taken the team and just dont know what to do with them. He seem to be the ONLY one who is waiting on WHEN I GET ALL THE MONEY TO BUY THE NEW PLAYERS instead of doing what need to be done with the players he has now.

He NEED TO GO. I expected City to maintain a top ten or even fall in the top five this season (fifth) He has not improved them at all THAT IS WHAT A MANAGER IS FOR

I am really disappointed and am also suprised that he is being given the reign for the rest of the season makes me question the motivation of the owners.

I dont expect them to go to number one Chelsea did not do that and no team can it takes time. I think Chelsea took 4 or 5 years after Abromovich bought them (stand corrected) I expected City to take at least 5 years but through out they MUST maintain a decent position this caoch is thinking that he has to scrape the bottom before rising to the top instead of rising from mid barrel to the top.

Make ME SICK

Anybody not thought that a good majority of the players may be a little hacked off, that ever since September 1st, the media have done little but speculate about who will be replacing them come January??

Certainly, if I was in a job, and I knew that in 3 months time I was definitely on my way out, my effort would probably less than 100%.

Most teams in the premier league are a melting pot of players from different nationalitis. Sven, Harry Alex, Arsene manage to get the best out of their teams because they understand football. Some talk about miracles hughes performed at Blackburn maybe he should have gone back there and see if he could do it again without Brad in goals- as Incy found out. Its how the manager gets them to play football and change tactics when the going gets tough.Hughes blaming the players is a copout big style. I would like to see City in the top 6 but somehow i dont see that happening even after they spend millions during the transfer window. They need a quality manager and they will not need to spend a penny more to achieve that!

Hughes is NOT a good manager, and his performance at Man C reinforces this.
If the owners persist with him, they could well be the richest club in the Championship.

They should cut their losses now and appoint someone who will save them and stop Hughes wasting money in the transfer window.

They won't go down, but they are in danger of finishing in the bottom half.

In regards to results, they are odd. They can score 3 or 4 past any team, but also concede 3 or 4 against any team. You just don't know which team is going to turn up.

Now, that to me has to be down to a bad balance of players. Certain teams can carry players who don't always perform well, for the benefit of one of those holy days when everything goes right....City aren't one of those teams. You have too many "on their day" players.

Very good point. Note how City were in the relegation zone with a positive goal difference (!!!) at one point, because when they do win, it is usually by a huge margin when everything clicks.

Why is that happening only about one game in six? Don't ask me, but Hughes is a very easy target indeed.

Let's not forget this is a stronger team than the one that Sven got sacked for only taking them to tenth. This team should be competing in the UEFA Cup, not the Fizzy Pop League, in 2009-10.

Well the righting is on the wall and with the sort of players at the disposal of Mark Hughes. One can only come to the conclusion that there are some players at the City ground who for whatever reason want Hughes out. They simply refuse to play as they should be playing.

Yes some may say that it’s a theory of a conspiracy from within the dressing room to oust Hughes. Some may say that the players will do just enough to keep City from the relegation zone. But not enough to keep Hughes at City as Manager.

One has to ask oneself how come a team under the management of Sven played better and got better results with dare one say less big money players at its disposal.
It’s becoming less of a conspiracy theory as the week’s role on. It’s beginning to look like a more realistic view of the actual situation at City. Is it possible under any circumstances that the players if not all then some players. Do not want to work with Hughes.
Do the facts bear out this theory of a players conspiring to oust a manager.
City dropped into the regulation zone just before the Christmas then did just enough to get them self out of it. Then lost drew their next match. To day they walked away from the F.A cup. So is it just a conspiracy idea some players do not want Hughes there at all. Will we have to wait until the end of the season to see Manchester City resting one place from relegation? Or will Hughes be gone?
Why one may ask me why I have this theory of a players conspiracy to oust Hughes.

Well to answer that all I can say
Is for a team that we know can do a lot better for a team that have such a world of talented players. For a team to have gone from one manager to another. To have the results they are getting at present with the team they have.
Nothing else makes any sense. Apart from the conspiracy theory here is an idea for you to ponder.

The players get paid win lose or draw maybe that should change at City and within the premiership. Just maybe a player should get his full wages for a win half that for a draw and nothing at all when they simply don’t show up for the game like City has been doing this season.

Give Hughes a bit longer
