On the basis of today.............

Premier League Sunderland

I want to say absolutely without prejudice, well done to Ricky and the boys today. It would be the understatement of the century to say I am still not convinced on this appointment at all but fairs fair, we won and that's got to be good news for everyone at the club.

I am at heart (despite some comments)a supporter after all and whether or not I disagree with the whole affair (and I still do) I want only the best for the club. Sbragia and SAFC will always have my support even if the basis for the decision never will.

May Sbragia continue to force me to eat humble pie all season as there will be no-one happier to eat it than me if the club progresses. However, as with Malcolm Crosby, a few wins in the FA Cup dont make for a Premiership manager.

I will not make another comment on this appointment until the end of January and lets see who comes in and who goes out and where we are in the Premiership at that time.

Flash I hope so really I do. Agreeing that we are allowed alternative view points is the crux of the argument.....all of this crud is taking me away from my real purpose in life......Winding up mags, god knows what they've been up to whilst my attention has been diverted.winkeye

" cestriamackem
Fox Its exactly people like you with your 'what ever the club says is right' that has held the club back for decades. If we had kicked up 30 years ago perhaps we wouldnt be the yo yo club we have been for all that time "

Do you mean like the mags?

How many times have they kicked up and now look at them, no respect from anyone and in a lot of trouble.

I for one will always give my club my total support, is ricky what I expected, nope, but he is our manager, the time for debate about the manager was before he was appointed, now is the time for support.

You seem to be the type of person who would complain no matter what, met your type before, never happy and always something to be upset about.

I have one question for you.

Whats the gain being so vocal that you dislike our manager and didnt want him AFTER he has been appointed, what good does that do the club you say you love so much?

Cestria, you are in danger of becoming a figure of hate or even worse a figure of fun on these boards, someone like zetom from the Nufc board.
Where is all this aggression coming from, calm down man. We are all allowed our opinions and dont deserve a reply from you telling us how wrong we are .
Chill, this is the best Safc team we have seen for many a year, sit back and enjoy it.

Flash

I know where you are coming from, and I for one hate getting involved involved in this in-house fighting. However, I'm well aware of the destructive force of negative thought which cestria seems to have in abundance. I also find it ironic that he has spent so much time and energy giving us (and Quinn) the wisdom of this negativity, but then despite living local, didn't even bother going to the game yesterday, and had the nerve to right this article on the basis of that very same match.
Having said that, I'm now going to draw a line over this as it's went far enough.

SAFC fans have been protesting against the board for 30 years, from wanting Collins to appoint Clough, to getting shot of Cowie, protesting against Murray outside Roker Park - and even picketing his house at near Easingwold.

It is only because of 606 and other message boards that dissent appears to be more obvious - but I would suggest less effective.

SAFC fans have been protesting for years when it is appropriate.

Smugglers I remember them setting the police dogs on me and a few hundred other die hards in the old Fullwell end in a sit in at the end of a match in the late 80's early 90's. It must have been my easy going accept anything the club say attitude getting me into bother again.

remember it well bud, I just cannot see the recent board activities provoking such tangible widespread unrest.

Puts it into perspective.

What a winjer some people will never be satisfied. Since Roy Keanes depature we have produce our best for of the season. When Roy Keane was in charge we lost 6 in a row and people where still backing him. RS may not come up with the goods. But on the positive side he's probably better value and he's only on an 18 month contract so if he doen't perform it'll be much easier and cheaper than if we had to sack RK (compensation and wages over inflated).
