Should we let Tevez go?

Premier League Manchester United

Hello everybody, i want to share my opinion and get reaction on something i think will be pretty divided.

I think we should let Tevez go at the end of the season and get someone else in! I have a few reasons for saying this with my main one being that i don't think he has that cutting edge of a top drawer striker, i know how hard he works for the team and really appreciate it but i think Rooney also gives us this and i think we would benefit more from a clinical 'in box' striker! By cutting edge i mean the next few steps in his head as Rooney and Berba do. I don't want to be seen as having a dig at Tevez because i really like him but am just giving my opinion on the matter.

Right now we are seriously lacking that and i think maybe someone like Huntelaar(i know real have signed him already but i mean someone like him), someone who will score the scrappy goals like ruud used to as i feel we badly miss that. In Tevez we have a similar player to Rooney i feel but with less quality.

Another issue i have is the reported transfer fee of £32m, for all we know this could be untrue but it has been widely reported!

What's the thoughts?

Yeah you dont have to agree.
Well as we found under Van Nistelrooy, the man was a legend, but he was an out and out goal scorer and we didnt really win many league titles with him in the team. nor did we win the CL ect. As soon as we get rid of him, we win the league. The way United play, they don't suit an out and out goalscorer cos they just slow down our attacks. hence the lack of goals this season. but i must admit part of that is down to the fact that our players can't shoot as well. If we win the league, i'll be shocked. Cos right now its only heading one way cos United and Chelsea are not playing well at all.

i'd like to throw a name into the hat that no-one has mentioned in this article yet, i am sitting watching the valencia match (flicking between that and the darts) and they were discussing the financial problems at the club, and that a decent bid for David Silva would have to be considered! i think we could get him for around £25m.

i think Berbatov is the 'in box striker' that we need. Keep Tevez, he might not be scoring but he can play winger and he is good at finishing and he has assisted loads. I also think that we should David Silva because he is awsome and he can do anything. He's young and great. Buy 1 more striker so we dont run out if they get injured and probably buy a new keeper such as Carlos Idriass Kamei cos he's awsome.

If you think we should let Tevez go, then, maybe we should let Ronaldo go as well !

to let Tevez go would be a disgrace. One of the only players you will see give his all every game. The way he has been treated makes me feel he will leave. Remember back to the start of the season, Ferguson was saying how good he was and his energy was incredible. Then his reward for playing well getting dropped for a player(Berbatov) who hasnt performed yet.
People say he doesn't score enough. If you look at not how many but when and who his goals were scored against. United wouldn't of won the title without his vital goals. I have been to watch united many times with and without Berbatov. Although his talent is clear I do believe he doesn't fit to the quick attacking football united were so know for in the past seasons.
Last topic although club captain and loyal servant Gary Neville should not be offered a new contract. The times I have seen him play this season he has lost his pace and is a weakness in the united line up. This was clearly seen against Arsenal where they targeted Neville and both the goals game from his side. Not just Arsenal in the club championships teams attacked constantly down Garys flank, continuously getting past him.

Keep Tevez...Ditch Ronaldo.

We all know that Ronaldo will eventually leave. He has made it clear that United is not his permanent home.

Tevez on the other hand has said he loves United and when he plays he plays with spirit. He is still very young and can improve lots.

Notice how I said spirit instead of energy. Ronaldo plays with great energy, but Tevez plays with spirit. Keano played with spirit too, and methinks he won a couple silvers.smiley

We should def keep Tevez as he has bags of energy and is a very good player. Rotate the strikers if need be but regardless of price tags, the most in-form strikers should start.
