obyapka (U5866610) posted Jan 9, 2009 I've been saying to colleagues for the last few years that MotoGP is dying a death. Not only in the reduced field for the big class, but also the number of bikes fielded in 125 & 250 is noticeable smaller.

bluraymond (U3554652) posted Jan 9, 2009 Just to prove my point about the BBC and their 'knowledge' of Moto gp, in the the article on the website they say the best Kawasaki did was a second by RDP, well I guess it was my imagination that saw Oliver Jacque come second at Shanghai in the wet and Shinya getting second at Assen after the amazing Hayden/Edwards duel. To the BBC editors of this website, research is a wonderful skill to exhibit.

Personally, I thought his best result was Jerez, could easily have been a podium if he hadnt had bronchitis.

As to exiting MotoGP, well I don't know if the golden age of consumerism Thatcher style will return but I hope there remains a class for prototype bike racing. It has always been from these classes that really great strides in technology arrive in the public domain.

denwyn (U3934766) posted Jan 14, 2009 Even though they were never really on the pace,Kwakers will be missed. This is not good for Moto Gp, it looks like another nail in the coffin,i hope it survives but the black clouds are gathering. On a more positive note, Kwaker pulling out may move James Toesland up the grid, and to the person who is new to Moto Gp,you will always find him at the back of the grid. Comment on this article
