I would go for the Wizard Whitlock ...he's on fire just now and should've beaten Taylor at the GSOD.

kentsaint Im sorry but the BDO, apart from a few decent players, is weak. The match that Hughes won this afternoon was a shocker. Anyone from the PDC would have won that match

hey, im quite new to darts and need a little clarifcation. All ive seen so far is pdc darts because of the premier league and world championships etc. What is the difference between the pcd and the bdo and which is better??

Regretably have to agree with the comments regarding the BDO being in decline. Whilst this may not entirely apply to the standard of play although the depth of talent in the PDC id far superior but the comment which has hit the nail on the head is 'the overall entertainment package' I've been a big fan of both for many years and until recent years the BDO probably shaded it. The year Andy Fordham won was a great tournament as was the year Klaasen defeated Barney and of course Barney's years of dominance but for me to many top players have defected to the PDC. The Barney/Taylor final from a couple of years back is one of the best i've seen and the fact that there are now a handful of players in the PDC capable of challenging the greatest player ever in Taylor speaks volumes of the quality. The production on Sky, the commentary, layout of scoring and overall insights into the game combined with the depth of talent for me swing the balance. Bobby George adding on another few items of bling every year just isn't cutting it anymore!

basically, ive not herd of many of the players in the bdo, wheras the pdc seems to get much greater media coverage. So to be honest the pdc seems better to me but then i dont really know any of the history behind it. Why was the pdc set up in the first place?

Tony O Shea looked good in his first round match with some awesome scoring. He just needs to hit the doubles.

PDC=Premier League
BDO=Championship

they split due to money issues and the top players in the bdo at the time not happy with how the bdo were running/promoting the game...i think thats basically what happened

and if you look at the difference in them atm then they were right to split

now that anderson is thru the first round i hope he wins then joins the pdc and leaves the bdo tournies for the likes of adams and hankey to kid themselves on that they are "world" champions
