David_Prutton's_Hairdresser (U9424149) posted Dec 27, 2008 Not sure Fulham will need this guy... We already have Etuhu, Andranik and Andreasen backing up Murphy and Bullard, with Dempsey and Gera capable of covering in the middle of the park. Dikgacoi arriving must surely mean the end for one of Etuhu, Andranik or Andreasen?..

I don't see where Andranik fits into our team and i do feel that we need a defensive midfielder to bolster the midfield so we can close off games. There is no way that Roy will drop Murphy as he is excellent for us, giving us a great passer in the middle of the pitch. Danny has always been a great talent and is continuing to do so for us. Another player I don't understand is Etuhu. Although I haven't seen a lot of him, I think he's a bit lightweight for the Prem. We need a big, strong midfielder to put in some crunching tackles, especially on that plum sack, Ronaldo. Diop was trying to play that position but to be honest he was totally useless and not worthy of a 1st team place. Lets buy a hard nut!!

FulhamIreland (U8847566) posted Dec 27, 2008 I really can't see why we are signing another centre midfielder. I don't think that Roy will get rid of any of the current set of midfielders apart from maybe Bullard but I don't think this lad would be a suitable replacement but I trust Roy and if he thinks that this guy can cut it then why not sign him.

cottagecravens (U13692896) posted Dec 28, 2008 Etuhu is a big lad Pallsy...did you see the Spurs game...he slotted in behind Murphy - who is clearly our best midfeilder by a country mile right now and all season for that matter.

cottagecravens (U13692896) posted Dec 30, 2008 I don't think he was terrible...this was his first start for Fulham since we bought him. He's a different player to Bullard of course. He's not to be considered a replacement by any stretch. He's the holding MF we have all craved for. Another option I feel. I must agree without Jimmy in the MF we struggled to create as much, Chelsea match was proof of this. Comment on this article
