Zat Knights toe pokeAston Villa by 1874 - Proud History, Bright Future (U13392237) 26 December 2008 Justice done? I think not! We deserved three points and Arsenal were VERY lucky after being outplayed all game. Arsene says we can't win the league so if thats true, what chance do Arsenal have? quiteManners (U8863490) posted Dec 27, 2008 not dissapointed or surprised we let the lead slip last night, only that which you have faith in can let you down as they say. From the commentators, to the crowd, we all saw it coming, I wasn't even upset. How Arsene could claim we had 'too many players defending' for the equaliser was a joke. We should have been three up and out of sight in the second half, having said that, when we scored the 1st, it was almost embarassing as we had been absolutely murdered in the 1st half, besides the chances, we couldn't keep it, pass it or anything. 1st 25 mins of the 2nd half we were beautiful, that Diaby goal was a peach, and we were majestic after that, then Gallas gets caught with the same kind of ball that Keane scored from on Sunday and it was a clear pen. Well played Villa!

Forrest Gump (U8543650) posted Dec 27, 2008 At the end of it all, no Villa fan can bemoan 4 points against Arsenal in 1 season, especially when our home record against them is poor. posted Dec 27, 2008 Taking goal-line clearances and woodwork it could have been more like 5-3 by early in the second half. But them's the breaks.

saintigs (U6513709) posted Dec 27, 2008 Let me make a prediction for 2009; Arsene to leave for Europe followed by Cesc Fab, Adebayor, Walcott, van Persie, Rosisky and Gallas. One of the merri-go-round managers to be appointed.

gunnerjon123 (U11778845) posted Dec 27, 2008 First half Villa were alot better but we did what we have done very rarely we took our chances and were unlucky to hit the post with the Van Persie shot. For the final Villa attack, when they scored, we should have had everyone in the box defending but it is easy saying that now. More injuries in this game aswell we need to buy I'm hoping for Yaya Toure and Alonso to stand in fot Fabregas. Also, like most people say every week we need a Campbell type of defender. The game showed that we may do ok without most of our first choice midfield of Fabregas, Walcott and Rosicky.
