Stupid Spurs Rumours

Premier League Tottenham Hotspur

Don't want Bellamy or Downing, the 1st named is trouble with a capial T, and the second named is as good as the club he is at now.

Spurs are a bit better than that despite Levy.........and we only want class players (preferably not layabouts) to represent the cream of North London.

As much as it pains me to say this but what 'class' player would want to join us?

We're a stepping stone to greater things, as almost every half decent player we've had in the past 20 years has shown.

Our scatter-gun approach to buying players isn't the best and is proven by the kind of players we're linked to.

I'd like to see us accept that we're not the best club in the world - we're not even the best club in London - and approach fringe players at the worlds biggest clubs.

Players like Babel, Fernandes, Giovinco, Obinna, Menez, Furstner, De la Red, Camacho, Vidal, Toselli ... Altidore.

These are very likely to be the stars of tomorrow and they can bring so much more than just performances to our club.

Hear Hear, Morph....I ish more of our lads would stop dreamoing about the world's finest, and drooling over the 'British is Best'...(a horrible catchphrase from the '70s, when the nation was dead on its feet. We need to be very accurate in our transfer dealings. Now that most of the accumulated dross has been swept aay (only Ghaly and Boeteng, if I'm right)....then it should be 2-3 in, 2-3 out....not more. Our squad is not bad (better than last season)...but we need to strengthen 2-3 key positions.-

1) A striker...of a different sort to Pav/Bent...someone quick in the box

2) A quality, experience DM, with a little bit of pace, preferably, to off-set Hudd's lack thereof,

3) Cover for our (improving, after a poor start) goalie...

The rest is coaching....to improve determination, enthusiasm, work-rate, crossing, corners (both ends) and decision-making...we have the making of a top-half side...still five players off top six...still way off top four...(if ever!!)
cheers

Harry, please don't sign Craig Bellamy. There are better strikers around and he averages about 10 goals a season and he's injury prone too.

Bellamy rumours are the ones that bother me I hate him and what has he done his career not a lot an average player who doesnt even look that fantastic in the current west ham side. All of that said I've not even mentioned the trouble that followsw him around and the injuries. I am not as worried about Downing we have been linked with him before and nothing has happened. As has ben said no one really good becomes available in January

I totally agree we need a new striker and decent DM but the problem is so do quite a few other teams and there clearly aren't enough available to go round, when you look at Diarra going for £20m that tells you the sort of money that it is going to take to get someone.

I think Craig Bellamy would be a great asset to our squad. Yes, he is a little bit of a maverick but with the coaching squad that we have, I'm sure we can get him to settle down. He may not score a lot of goals but let's face it when he's on the ball around the box most defences are panicking and if he scores ten from now on in and assists in another ten, well it's money well spent! For many years we have spent a fortune (more than 10mil) on big name players who just do not do it. At least Harry Redknapp has a level head and pulls in players who normally perform for half the price of the big names. I think Craig Bellamy may just need a father figure like Harry.

Remember he had the ultimate father figure in Sir Bob, and that was the best football of his career in that period.

Although I can't see him refinding that kind of form, buying bellamy would just be like still having 3 strikers becuase hes always injured, but of course a menace when on form.
