smogsterking1987 (U5142564) posted Dec 24, 2008 I have it on good authority messi has said he has a desire to play in england. He said this is mainly due to english cuisine such as the chicken parmo. When told you can only get this in middlesbrough. He said "I know its been a long ambition of mine to play at the club of my idol carlos marinelli. So i have two reasons why i really want to play here"

We_Came,We_Saw,We_Were_Relegated (U13750374) posted Dec 24, 2008 This transfer window could be make or break for us - if Downing and/Tuncay get sold then we'll be desperately short on real quality, although if we really do need the funds that much we might have to part with one of them.

ComeOnDavid (U9283667) posted Dec 24, 2008 What's the latest on GO'N coming back to Fratton Boro fans?, we're talking as if it's a done deal down here!, gutted to lose him if it does happen?, where's he been playing for you?, we're split on whether it's a good deal bringing him back, £3m-£5m is the talk!, decent money? posted Dec 24, 2008 No one will leave Boro. Simple. In the summer maybe but not in January. We will not find it easy to attract quality players (if there are any in the January window that are available). So, all the rumours will come to nothing. Even Mido will stay because I am sure GS wants to keep him. We cant afford to let him go. There just aren't any decent strikers available at the moment - unless you have big money, and we don't!

wheatereatsrocks (U13674887) posted Dec 26, 2008 andrew taylor has no potential. bridge wouldnt come to us but if he would are you really saying you would rather have taylor than bridge? he is englands number 2 left back and is unfortunate he has one of the best left backs in the world ahead of him for club and country, taylor couldnt lace his boots. posted Dec 26, 2008 Bridge & Downing work so well together for England, but we would have to break the bank for him & his wages just to presuade him here. But if Downing goes then it's pointless.
