Transfer window - Middlesbrough

Premier League Middlesbrough
comment on the article

Hi Boro fans

It is nearly that time of year when the January transfer window comes along and the rumour mill goes into overdrive.

As part of our guide for what each club is likely to get up to in the January sales, we would like to hear your views on who you would like to see Boro sign, who they need to get rid of and which areas of the side are in need of strengthening most.

Let me know your thoughts.

I have it on good authority messi has said he has a desire to play in england. He said this is mainly due to english cuisine such as the chicken parmo. When told you can only get this in middlesbrough. He said "I know its been a long ambition of mine to play at the club of my idol carlos marinelli. So i have two reasons why i really want to play here"

Also I have been playing on pro evo lately and theres this 21 year old playing in Team J called james king. He has 99 for everything in stats and I believe he would be interested in a move to boro.

Although it seems we may only be able to sign one of them this january.

This transfer window could be make or break for us - if Downing and/Tuncay get sold then we'll be desperately short on real quality, although if we really do need the funds that much we might have to part with one of them.

A new CM and an LB would be ideal, maybe one of Liverpool's on loan? As for a new CM, we need someone who can get the ball down and play it through to the forwards. This James King sounds cracking, i'll chip in a tenner to get him a Parmo and show him how great it is at the Shiverside.

What's the latest on GO'N coming back to Fratton Boro fans?, we're talking as if it's a done deal down here!, gutted to lose him if it does happen?, where's he been playing for you?, we're split on whether it's a good deal bringing him back, £3m-£5m is the talk!, decent money?

No one will leave Boro. Simple. In the summer maybe but not in January. We will not find it easy to attract quality players (if there are any in the January window that are available). So, all the rumours will come to nothing. Even Mido will stay because I am sure GS wants to keep him. We cant afford to let him go. There just aren't any decent strikers available at the moment - unless you have big money, and we don't!

Unless GS can find a BETTER replacement none will go in January.

andrew taylor has no potential. bridge wouldnt come to us but if he would are you really saying you would rather have taylor than bridge? he is englands number 2 left back and is unfortunate he has one of the best left backs in the world ahead of him for club and country, taylor couldnt lace his boots.

Bridge & Downing work so well together for England, but we would have to break the bank for him & his wages just to presuade him here. But if Downing goes then it's pointless.

I have said on about 5 threads give Jow Ledley a try from Cardiff. He fits perfectly into GS plans as a young, pormising, hungry player & we need a box-to-box CM if GO'N leaves.

Sell Mido to Wigan who will be used as a bargining chip to try to keep Zaki & get Marlon Harewood from Villa as a replacement. He has about the same goal scoring ratio, but is fit more than Mido. ok

Andrew Taylor is a lightweight fool who thinks cleaners get paid £40,000 a year.

Surprised to learn that Stewey is apparently keen on moving to Spurs, according to the Northern Echo. Mind you, they also report that Shay Given wants to leave Newcastle for Arsenal. Who do believe ?
