Congratulations to United for winning yet another trophy.
Champions of England, champions of Europe, now champions of the WORLD.
I'm sure i speak for everyone in England and Europe when i say you are worthy champions, and once again have proved to be the bench mark for playing great attacking football.
We are all very proud.

One delighted Utd fan :D

One thing people are forgetting is this.

The PATH/JOURNEY to reach this cup final (especially from Europe)is HARD....BUT...winning the cup itself doesnt compare in difficulty.

Thats the bit that beats most people.

So is it prestigious?

I would argue yes for the sake of the JOURNEY to reach this stage.

Not every one gets to play this game, and as much as it may elude you, it IS silverware.

Well done to the lads!

Oh...and scottieterrier (U7929351)....

I wish Chelsea fans were more like youok

Nice job, but why did it take an English team so long to win this cup? Lets be honest the real reason that ManU were able to win is the fact that the best players play in the European leagues. Thus lowering the quality of the rest of the leagues. No wonder Fergie was so keen on the competition. He knew he should be able to finally win it!!

Champions of the world? Champions of Ecuador....well done.
Only trophy you fools will win this year. Jose returns!( to get done by the real REDS in the final)
_____________________________________________________

Do you mean calendar year? Well we won the Premier League and Champions League in May this year.

Or do you mean this season? Well we won the Community Shield in August this season.

As as has been stated, the Champions of Ecuador are also, like us, champions of their respective continent, in this case South America.

So that makes you, wrong, wrong, and wrong again doh

Oh, and how do you know that Jose's team, should they knock us out in the next round, won't meet you BEFORE the final, should both teams get through? headhurts

But then, as you've said it, and we've already proved that you're always wrong, lets face it, it's not going to happen is it ok

All of a sudden, this trophy, which was being scorned as a nonsense piece of silverware, is being hailed as an international honour because ManU have won it. If ManU had lost, we would not have heard any more of this trophy except that ManU would have chosen to lose due to the lack of its importance. All along, the image that was being portrayed showed little respect to the most important club trophy in the world. The Ecuadorian team deserved more respect. They are the club champions of the Americas and that includes some big teams. Watch South American football to find out. Strangely, the mickey mouse image is because you can win a penalty shoot-out to become a champion and then participate in this championship. Maybe the format needs to be changed so that it does not depend on a one-game show.

Where are you getting this from? Who was saying "nonsense" and is now saying "international honour"?

"If ManU had lost, we would not have heard any more of this trophy except that ManU would have chosen to lose due to the lack of its importance."

Again, any links to EVERYONE making this statement, or indeed ANYONE?

"All along, the image that was being portrayed showed little respect to the most important club trophy in the world."

Is this in code? Who was portraying this "image"

"The Ecuadorian team deserved more respect. They are the club champions of the Americas and that includes some big teams. Watch South American football to find out."

The only disrespect is coming from jealous bitter ABUs, Man United fans recognise our fellow continental champions.

"Strangely, the mickey mouse image is because you can win a penalty shoot-out to become a champion and then participate in this championship. Maybe the format needs to be changed so that it does not depend on a one-game show."

You obviosly have no clue as to how to win the Champions League. You have to finish in the top 4 of your league, then next season go through well over a dozen more games against the best teams in Europe.

You really are embarrassing yourself with what looks like made up facts, or something that you heard a bloke down the pub say, ergo you instantly belived it to be true, as he sold you some magic beans doh
