India - England

comment on the article

Morning all,

Ben Dirs will shortly be bringing you today's live text commentary of India v England in Mohali.

It's day three - and England are set to begin their reply to India's first-innings total of 453.

How do you think the day will pan out? Is all hope of an England victory gone - and will their first total be avoiding the follow-on?

606 will be open for business at 0330 GMT when play begins - do get involved and join the debate.

Remember how Sachin and Sehwad slaughtered England bowlers in near darkness at Headingly few years ago.
Some one is predicting an England victory...not even in my wildest dreams .That person has written about England scoring 400 and bowling out India for 250....Sehwag might himself hit 250 in his second innings!you never know.Never understimste this Indian team

Or the idiocy of their fans..

Well played KP!ok
And its good to see Flintoff is finally back with his oldself!ok
I still see this test heading for a draw!
Unless Ind gets rest of Eng wkt before lunch and Sehwag reapeats his performance of the 1st test! Then may be we may have a result!

Win or draw! Its becoming a truly facinating test!

Test cricket is back!Big time!

sorry mate.. Genesis Tub tongueout

and, yes.... India wouldn't give follow on, unless there was huge lead, not around 200, and very poor track to bat and lesser time to force a win (if they want to).

is Stuart Board and Jimmy anderson playing in the test - if so them two could get some good runs for use - so we can avoid the follow on."

laugh ...restraint is clearly not our forte' (plus the added relief that JJ won't Laugh Last today at least - after the SA win? winkeye).

What I found especially memorable from today's play at Mohali:

1) Misra's delivery that dismissed Collingwood

2) KP's terrific innings (especially the switch hit 6 off Bhajji)

3) Gambhir's catch off the last ball (Flintoff)

FF was a rock in supporting KP. Flintoff has got "dependable" written all over him.

I was relatively less excited about Bhajjis's bowling. He was never a big spinner of the ball but today he was hardly able to get any spin at all. Signs of some bumps in the road ahead for India's spin dept.?

Nothing against 'hammydigrasi' guys. Just giving an example that individuals are individuals, can't say that whole groups same, isn't it ?

Anyway, s/he knows whats going on in the game is also good, because s/he doesn't like cricket, like most others.

Sign of some bumps in the road ahead for Bhajji i guess, because Mishra is doing fine job (he is still 'new'). And, India keeps getting spinners from some or the other place (1.16 bn smiley)

But, when will India get replacements of someone great like A. Kumble? Its going to be tough to fill in his shoe (or fit in it tongueout)

Lets see, whats hidden in future winkeye

another gripe... Ishant's got to do something about his no ball problem, it's now crossed over from "embarrassing" to "ludicrously absurd". We're told that he has been working on it, apparently still needs a lot more work.

If referrals become commonplace he will really have to do something about it. I've seen a fair few of his dismissals which were probably no-balls....
