*Exiled Canary (U3675570) posted Dec 20, 2008 It does seem these days that if players gang up on a Manager who they believe is being nasty to them, they can get rid of him - witness Sunderland, Spurs and now Blackburn. How long before Big Sam upsets these prima donnas and they try the same again ?

malunited (U2356334) posted Dec 20, 2008 Vinotackler, you are spot on. Unfortunately, this happens because Clubs and Chairmen do not give enough support to the Managers they hire. If Ince was given time and also the chance to bring his own choices, things may have improved. This is true at smaller clubs and this is no slight to Blackburn.

goonergetit (U9484542) posted Dec 20, 2008 What a difference a few ref's bad decisions make? That was the difference between six points for Ince or even a few points. What a difference the media made to the chances of Paul Ince by continually undermining him and scrutinising his credentials and experience. What difference it will make to the Black youth and Black players not to have a Black icon or role model ? Because the difference was two or three REF decisions. So we can all pontificate about experience and credentials and qualifications when we understand what the real difference is ? ? What a difference EXPERT Journalism can create

LiverBirdMate (U3190365) posted Dec 20, 2008 What if Allardyce acts on the same principles that saw him push Bolton from relegation fodder regularly to fighting for Europe instead of the 20-game experience he had with Newcastle? We're to believe he will now do badly wherever he goes because of the NUFC experience?
