Transfer window

Premier League Stoke City
comment on the article

Hello

The January transfer window is fast approaching, and we're just putting together a club-by-club guide. Just wondered what the Stoke fans are hoping for?

What is the squad is lacking? Which players would you like to see come in? Is there anyone you can afford to get rid of?

Look forward to your comments.

I know I keep banging on about it but I would love to see Eubanks-blake in the team.

Young, fast, scores goals, full of energy and exciting to watch.

Would he leave Wolves? would Wolves sell him? If Stoke dont get him my prediction is that he will eventually become a big name in the game and will be snapped up by some lucky club and this guy has a good England future in front of him too.

Fuller goals

Pugh was one of our best players on Sat. I know he's not a reg 1st teamer but, can do a job for us. He was at least interested in trying to help the cause. Creswell I thought tried but, I do not think he's good enough for the Premier League, my oppinion. Also Higgy, was awful too. Maybe just that there was so much ball coming at the defence. Cos, I can't remember too many times when our MID Field put more than 4 or 5 passes together. Sgt, maybe Higgy is taking it too easy mate, who knows. I mean he's playing LB cos who else do we have. Not his best position I think. Sgt, don't agree about Amdy Faye he's to irratic for me. Good game or awful is what i'm seeing. He gave the ball away far too much Saturday mate. BUT he was not the only culprit.

As for signings. 72

WE DO nees more pace right through the team, I agree. Fuller apart we have NO ONE who is willing to RUN at TAKE on a defender. NOR run past a mid fielder with the BALL AT HIS FEET. That's the ONLY way to get player's in support of Ric Fuller. Mama, is out for a while so, that's plan A shafted for now. We do NOT HAVE ENOUGH GOOD MId field players at the club for me. Lawrence is either brilliant or ....does not get forward enough. For me, hides at times and cuts INSIDE defenders too often to be effective. When Lawrence does take em on, he's brilliant and has the cross to supply Fuller etc. BUT we need a left Mid fielder and a bloody LEFT FOOTED Left winger. Joe Ledley but, I don't think we'll get him.
And, a nippy C/forward and I mean quick. Dean Ashton I beleive is or maybe available. I go for him also. He can finish too.

So in i'd like
Joe Ledley
Dean Ashton
Scott sinclair he's quick
And maybe if not Ashton go for Zidic.

I'm not sure that apart from Sinclair we can get any of them.
Other clubs will be waiting and it's all about money. So please Mr Coates, can we have
More please.

Players out... Wilkinson no where near good enough.

And, these are ONLY MY Personal Oppinions. How I'd love T.Ps job. NOT.

Dean Ashton????????????
1- Why would he leave WHU to come to us other thanWest Ham having to sell?
2- TP/PC would never pay the supposedly £10 mill asking price for a player who only plays 5-10 games a season.

He's not scoring but time will come; we want him here Reading fans. Now we can see why he was highly recommended but you never told us about those attitude problems.

The reason for the Psychologist winkeye

I understand fully now what Pulis is doing; now i say this we'll probably sign Carrick in the window just to shock me.

Davey Kiston's workrate is very good but he does need to play a s striker and not as a midfielder. After the New Year he might get a few goals for us smiley

Dean Ashton is a no-no

if we were going to buy him we should have done so when he was at Crewe

Wolves wont sell while they are on for promotion so Sexton Blake is a no-go

If WBA are considering Vela and Simpson for loans then I think we should too as Vela is probably the best young forward around and simpson could seriously be lethal. Ebanks-Blake would surly be an option for Pulis. For midfield i think a possible loan of Man Utd's Darron Gibson or a permenant signing of Chris Eagles currently on loan at Burnley. Joe Ledley has to be the number one signing though!

1. Joe Ledley
2. Marlon Harewood
3. Chris Eagles
4. Darron Gibson (on loan)
5. Carlos Vela (on loan)
6. Jay Simpson (on loan)

Well we definetely need a bit of quality and pace.

I agree on the loan signing front and i would think tony is trying this.

positions to fill

a leader at the back-- maybe another go for hypia
left midfield-- im not convinced by joe ledley 6/7m is a lot for a champ player, must be options abroad-- alternatively whats happened to the start of seasons signing tonge? and I remeber the lad from bristol was a flyer down the left when we played em both games last year, cant remember his name though.

centre park-- cheeky offer for kieran dyer though i doubt we can get near his wages. Bullard must be a possibility.

Striker with pace, lita is prob going on the cheep, zidic would be a good target man.

but what do we do with kitson-- lets hope he gets his head straight and scores a few.

players who could go out if the squad was big enough
wilkinson
pericard
cresswell
cort
amdy faye
ojifanaha ?

I wouldn't get rid of olofinjana or Cort, i think that when olofinjana has played generally he's done pretty well same with cort and he was a big part in getting us promoted last year.

As for buying players, I think Harewood would be a good signing though I don't think we'll get him and Joe Ledley would also be good but i think we'll only get him if we offer the full £7m asking price. I think loans for players would be a good idea and i think we could do well like this as TP proved last year. Lita would be a good signing but i definetley don't think we'll get Bullard, he'll go to a bigger club. Scott Sinclair could be good for us.

I don't rate Dickinson or Wilkinson so I think that we could afford to lose them and i think Pugh has played OK when he's played and was one of our better players against Fulham.

If we're going to cause any major upsets this half of the season, i think it'll be next week at home to Liverpool
