We need far more posters like Monique on this board. Like me, Monique can never see any wrongdoing in Ronnie's actions. I guess we just love Ronnie to death and he could do anything and we will always defend him. We support him even if he punches officials, insults all and sundry, and abuses everything about the game. Monique agrees with me that Ronnie is far bigger than the game and always will be.

Me thinks that there is some sarcasm in the last comment by splendidmagicronnie!!

Conceding a frame is not the same as assaulting a Referee. Those days are in the past. To me it just shows what a state snooker is in, when the main talking point is that somebody conceded a frame!! Like somebody commented earlier, if it had of been any other player it would barely have been mentioned.

The fact is that love him or hate him, he is the main attraction in snooker. I do find some of his antics a bit boring, but he is exciting to watch.

There has always been a Alex Higgins, Jimmy White, or Ronnie O'Sullivan. They have polarised opinion - some prefer the Steve Davis' and Stepehen Hendrys. It just seems that the game is full of Stephen Hendrys now. The only one who might get bums on seats is Mark Selby.

It's a good thing that people can get so passionate about the game, whether it's negative or positive.

In order for snooker to survive it needs to crossover into a WWE type mass entertainment spectacle ie

As Shaun Murphy bends over the table to pot a red, his opponent sprints from his chair and banjoes him over the head with a steel chair!

Lets face it we'd all queue up for that privilige

You could also have Michaela Tabb refereeing with a whip and instead of calling a miss every time a player fails to get out of a snooker, she would instead lash them across their buttocks.

This could be the saving of snooker in my view, would boost the viewing figures by millions and would sell ot venues no problem.

eirebilly, this is for you! I was here last week trying protect Selby`s right after his defeat to Ronnie. One of Ronnie`s fans was abusing Selby. Me and many other Ronnie`s fans were the ones dealing with the situation, saying that we are not satisfied with the words he used to express his "relief". We are here to protect the players and not abuse them the way you are doing! You have no place here. Only if I could delete you and your useless comments here!!!!
You are the worst I`ve ever met in my life! I don`t want to read anything you write here anymore. Abusing me of poor english grammer! How many languages do you know? I am sure it`s only english and it isn`t a big deal for everybody speaks english nowadays. This shows that you are not a good ambassador to your country!
Englishmen have patience in anything they do. I am beginning to doubt it if at all you are from Ireland. Anyway,that`s your own problem, mine is solved. You can find another one to crush you the way I did! And remember, I did this because you abused Ronnie O`sullivan. If could see you face to face it would be different story! I love all the snooker players and respect them for entertaining me. Do you practice any sport? Try scrabble may be you`ll learn how to use your tiny b***n and start giving people the respect they deserve
