Constant work for 4 years; switching events after his got removed from the Olympics, preparing for all the worlds and the Olympics and finally succeeding. Do not comment on what you do not know.

mnelson530 (U8376743) posted Dec 16, 2008 I didn't like the sports personality of the year this year. I accept and congratulate that the olympic atheltes did exceptionally well in Bejing but i also feel that this years awards was just another ceremony for them, what about lewis hamilton becoming the youngest F1 champion in history, or andy murray beating the top two tennis players in the world this year and also reaching the US open final. nearly all the awards went to olympic atheltes this year. In my opinion other people achieved just the same if not better in their respective fields but the coverage on olympics is just a lot higher
