Hamilton to break all records?

Formula One

Do you think that Lewis Hamilton can challenge Michael Schumacher's record for most wins? Hand on heart I think he'll be close.

Michael won an incredible 91 races in his career which over 16 seasons pans out at about 5/6 victories a season. Hamilton has won 9 grand prix over 2 seasons, and in realistic terms he's still probably got a few more years till we'll even see the best of him.

As for Fernando Alonso, I can see him getting up to the late 30's or early 40's, and that's mainly because for his first 3/4 seasons in formula one he was not driving vastly competitive cars.

Any thoughts?

Here's a prediction based on absolutely nothing (same as most of the trash I've read on this thread).

Hamilton will win a total of five world titles, the last one coming in 2020, and then decide to defect to somewhere like CART or NASCAR. Alonso will win just one more title, Kimi no others. Massa will be runner-up on another two occasions and possibly never win it. Kubica and Vettel will win three world titles between them, and Kovaleinen will wins a race every season from now on but never amass enough points to become champion. Heidfeld will win his first Grand Prix next season.

Bye.

""For the next fifteen years at least i feel, Michael will remain the greatest.""

That'll be a neat trick, considering he never has been!

Actually JP8, I'm not a huge Ferrari fan although I did admire the sheer talent of Shumacher.
I really think Hamilton is not the one to replace him, maybe Vettel will be the guy, who knows?
