Live - Tuesday's Champions League

Champions League
comment on the article

It's a massive night for Chelsea and their boss Luiz Felipe Scolari tonight, whether the Brazilian would care to admit it or not.

Lose or draw at home to Cluj, and their Champions League dream could just be over for another year.

Elsewhere, Liverpool vie for top spot in their group and there are plenty of other issues to be settled.

Welcome to another night of Champions League football. Enjoy.

Coolinterstar, it's fate. Watch the draw in 10 days. It'll happen.

I hope your wrong mate.

I really do NOT want to play Liverpool.

I still have nightmares of Last year.

However - we will see if Liverpool lose an FA Cup match before a CL fixture - then we will know what Liverpool intentions are.

Give up on PL and use ALL resource on CL.

Maybe if Liverpool sacrifice Cl glory for a Premier League then who knows?

However - i trust FATE we will AVOID Liverpool and an english & Spanish opposition in the last 16.

PLEASE NOT LIVERPOOL
PLEASE NOT LIVERPOOL

Becauuuuuuuse

Against AC Milan on the 23rd of December they had 3 men marking him, leaving the room for Julio Cruz to score!

Against Juventus, again, they had 3 men marking him, which cut him out of the game.

Against Roma he scored a penalty after a handball from one Ludovic Giuly on his shot that would have gone in otherwise

Who else do you consider to be a top 5 team in italy?

He also didn't play the 2nd derby d'italia, nor the Milan derby... Nor the match against roma...

You'd know, if you were a Calcio fan, but he tore a cruciate (I think, anyway, it was never really publicly stated which ligament) ligament in early janruary, but played through the pain barrier - which caused a great dip in his form, and he didn't score a goal from open play after mid-janruary (vs parma if i remember rightly).

Ibrahimovic was, at one point in the season, 15 goals in 21 games.

He came on on the last day of the season having not played for, i believe, 2 months, to score 2 against parma to win the title.

"Ibrahimovich has to be the most ovverated player in history."

You make a good point. I concur with your sage assesment. However since this player is plying his trade in a league beloved of poseurs and other snooty fanboys desperate to pass themselves off as Italigentsia you can expect some flak.
Still, when was the last time one of our teams let in 7 to one of their teams eh?

Scolari gets out of jail. Chelsea 2-1 CFR Cluj, finish second to Roma. As Roma beat Bordeau 2-0 in a parallel match, Chelsea would have progressed even if they had lost to Cluj. Scolari downplaying the pressure! Only a goose would have believed him.
Who cares whom we play in the next round, it is enough that there is a next round.

Looks pretty quiet here.

Looks like you are all accepting that Inter will NOT be playing Liverpool in the 2nd round.

Thank you very much

&

Good night & God bless.

Forza Inter.

Summary!

Ibra = Obviously a great player, not as good as some inter fans are making out. Scores a lot of goals, but its in a league arguably poorer than the EPL. Unfortunately he is unlikely to ever win the ballon d'or, messi will dominate the next decade.

I can't see Inter progressing unless they get Lyon in the next round.

Inter better hope that they don't get us, or they'll be thumped 6-0 over both legs.

Chelsea are lucky that country protection prevents us from playing them because on current form we would thump them over two legs.
