Premier League Sunderland

I have to say that for a man placed in temporary charge of a big club like Sunderland and with players that have no confidence at the moment he did a fantastic job today. He got his tactics pretty much spot on, the 4-5-1 was the way to go and I thought he got the timing of his subs perfect aswell. If indeed the appointment of a new manager is going to take weeks then I am confident we have a man incharge that can do a job for us at this present moment in time. I hope he continues in the same vain as we have a must win game against WBA coming up next week.

What drove Keane out was his decision based on what is happening to him in his life. Booing hurts and personal abuse hurts and Keane expressed these points clearly. How do you know that it wasn't the fan's that drove him away? how do you know? Ask Keane. How would you feel if fan's were giving you abuse and booing the team off the pitch? It's clearly documented so you can't say that it was not the fault of the fan's because you don't know!

Keane stated upon his departure he would to say a special thank you to the fans, who are 'fantastic'.

They was no booing during a game!
It was at the full time whistle of the Bolton game, which having been completed humiliated against a poor team, i feel more than entitled to do, as we were an absolute disgrace and Keane had lost the plot.

All this talk about Keane losing it, losing what? He didn't lose many games or trophies did he? He never lost the desire to win and he's got his own style, just like Ferguson has got his own style, he won promotion from the clutches of the third league, in my opinion Sunderland fan's are partly to blame and I just hope you get what you deserve as much as the Arsenal fan's that booed Eboue get theirs. When are football fan's going to realise that booing your own is very destructive. yikes How dare we call them fans cool

shut up you have no idea what you are talking about.

how so you KNOW that keane walked because of the fans booing.

We lost 5 games out of 6, yeah he won a lot of games, in the Championship.

and you support Arsenal, your fans boo, so you want Arsenal to come down with us then, great supporter you are.

Makamdisco, its completely irrelavent when the booing takes place, if it's before the game, during or after a humiliation. What happened to "you'll never walk alone" do you know where that song originates? How can you say that Keane had lost the plot, that's what you think and what you read. He didn't lose the plot when you got promoted. Fan's that boo are a disgrace "you'll never walk alone" You try and justify his departure with "he lost the plot" Bob Stokoe will be turning in his grave, where's the spirit of 73, Leeds 0 Sunderland 1 miracle saves by Montgomery. Spineless supporters. We want it now, we pay, we want what we want and we're going to boo and scream until we get what we want, consumer supporters and the power of the boo, you've just lost a great winner who wants success so much it hurts everyone just like Fergie hurts a few now and again yikes

blackcats steve: If Arsenal lose 9 out of the next ten games I'll make sure (Wenger)"he'll never walk alone" I deplore Arsenal fan's that boo and hope that they don't get their season tickets renewed next year. It's about being together through good and bad, you're either a true supporter or you're one that wants to scream and boo when the going gets tough, spineless losers. Sunderland supporters contributed to his departure no matter what political statement he makes about fantastic supporters. How would you feel if you got booed by someone you worked for? yikes

if i was not doing the job i was employed to do, or upsetting the applecart of the rest of the employers, i would expect to be sacked in all honesty.

Like i have said, i agree with you, the supporters should not boo, but saying that, if the manager walks out because of that, and does not stay around to prove those doubters wrong, then sorry, do not let that door slam you to hard on the bottom on the way out.

I thought keane had more spine than that, if what you say is true, he was a gutless wonder who does not deserve the support of a great board and 70mil+ to spend on players that he wanted and with no interferance at all.

Rumor in the Dutch press: Sunderland are looking at Dutchman Co Adriaanse to be there next manager...

Tactical Approach

Adriaanse gained a lot of fame in the Netherlands after qualifying for the Champions League with the average Dutch club Willem II. It was even more impressive, because Willem II often played attacking football. Throughout his whole manager career he always stuck to play attacking football. Co Adriaanse's game approach is in many ways similar to that of Louis Van Gaal, who eventually succeeded him at AZ Alkmaar.

[edit] Psycho Co

Adriaanse is famous for his controversial training approach. At Willem II, he once ordered his whole squad to follow him by car, while they drove 13 km away from their training ground. At a remote spot, all players had to give their car keys to Adriaanse. Then he drove back to town, while the squad had to run in front of his car. Back at the training ground, the players got their car keys back. However, since their cars where still parked far from the training ground, they all had to walk back another 13 km.[1] At AZ Alkmaar he once ordered the whole squad to search for Easter eggs during the training. They looked for an hour until Co Adriaanse finally revealed there were no eggs hidden. [2] Adriaanse already had these strange training methods at the start of his career, because when he was a youth trainer at Ajax, he sometimes ordered his players to lay on the ground. Then a teammate (with football boots on) would run over the bodies.[3] Because of all these infamous incidents, Adriaanse is sometimes nicknamed Psycho Co.

Why don't gooner and blackcats steve just exchange email addresses and stop bothering everybody else by repeating the same old twaddle. It's obvious you're never going to agree with each other.
