I was at the game and I have to say that it was not a great spectacle. Edinburgh played most of the rugby and the ref. was not great for either side. Cipriani kicked his penalties really well and Edinburgh deserved to be leading going into the last 10 minutes. The decision to send Rennie to the bin was unfair and the Rees try was clearly a double movement (although teh Ref was unsited) - not sure what the touch-judges were watching! On this form I can't see Wasps going much further in the HC...

Its a gud win for wasps, whether leinster pick up a bonus point tomorrow is fairly important. Wasps got 4 pts away to edinburgh and at home to castres, Leinster got 5 away to edinburgh and 5 tomorrow against castres will make it really difficult for wasps, its hard to see where they can make up the extra points unless leinster lose next weekend

Group wide open, eh no

Leinster will comfortably win this group as they are the only side that plays good attacking rugby which wins games. Whilst Wasps may expect to win their last three games, two is more likely and neither of these are done deals. Also to get the QF runners up spots you need bonus points. Isn’t it nought from three so far which isn’t surprising having been bored to death last night by Danny’s ‘how many ways can I kick the ball’ gameshow so unless you can dramitcally start scoring tries which hasnt happened yet for you this season then you can expect to join us as also-rans this year.

McGeechan said afterwards that ELVs are ruining the game, nope sorry much as I admire you and what you have done Geech, teams with no ambition to play rugby ruin the game.

Big chance missed by Edinburgh who were the better side but poor decisions in the first half and poor refereeing in final 10 minutes (and he was bad) cost us in the end.

Edinburgh Pete, sounds as though someone has sour grapes after the game yesterday! Wasps a team low on confidence, low on form and have had a lot of bad results to go and play and get a result in Edinburgh was a great achievement - of course they are going to be kicking the ball, to avoid giving kickable penalties.

We've been losing by 3-5 points per game, which is a few panalties being conceded - so Wasps will look to clear the ball and play it in the opponents half - that is the way of the ELVS.

Dammit, No sour grapes on my part just an honest opinion o last nights events. I can though see why Wasps are low on confidence and in poor form because they were rank rotten for much of this match except in defence which was as ever outstanding.

Wasps though won and good luck to them but you have to face facts, Leinster are the team to beat in this group and at best will lose only one more match therefore unless you win matches with bonus points you wont qualify as a best runner up.

Edinburgh for all their endeavour need to do more to close such games. Wasps for all their winning mentality need to do more to score tries and earn bonus points – that’s reality not sour grapes

As for the game, last night the ref had 4 big calls to make, three went to Wasps one to Edinburgh I might be biased but from where I was sitting it was an iffy call on the tackle that led to the sin binning in the last 10 minutes and the ref then missed the double movement when Betsen scored his try.

Still we have the rematch to look forward to – hopefully not as much Ariel ping pong because it makes for dire spectating unless of course you are into admiring Danny’s left foot winkeye

Well done Wasps! Final score of 25-16. We were still alittle rough round the edges but at this point a win is a win.

Cips with his 6 penalities and conversion should go some way for those who were quick to critisize him after this Autumn's test matches. And the Raging Bull showed his qualities as skipper (he has awesome abilities to lead and direct). Lewsey also showed why he is one of the strongest wingers out there in my opinion.

In all fairness Edinburgh (in particular Paterson) played better in the second half but blaming Berdos (ref) and accusing him of bias is a poor excuse.

I'll be at the home game on the 14th where we should see a more polished performance and win.

Alot seems to be made of wasps kicking the ball away alot, to be hounest i really don't blame them at the moment.

i think last night was the first time that backline had played together this season, and some key players must be very tired after the internationals, now most of the injuries are out of the way hopefully we can start gelling and putting in the performances whe are capable of.

Waspmolomo Sorry missed your comment – no not feeling silly. Nothing has changed despite your two wins (neither of which produced a bonus point). Leinster still remain the only side in this group who play attacking rugby capable of winning matches with bonus points (and should still win this group comfortably).

Afterall its still in their hands, you most likely need two Bonus point wins to top the group, and I just dont think you will beat them next week.

However if you are feeling confident of 10 points over the 2 games good luck cause it will have meant Geech has dropped his whinging on ELVs and got you to play some rugby for a change smiley

We sadly are out of it and only have pride to play for now - again
