BABAs v Aus

When exactly did the BABAs get completely highjacked by foriegn players. Days were when ganes like this were used to pit the best of British against the tourists, and a chance to look at potential Lions combinations.

This game has some good players, but is anyone really interested in who wins. I prefer games to at least have some point, this is nothing more than fluff

I think both sets of players will know that they have been in a game this morning. Total committment was shown by all. It was a shame it went to uncontested scrums as I think the baa-baas might have just edged it. An entertaining game of rugby, shame the Aussies couldn't run the ball a bit more rather than go for goal.

Slightly concerned that Cornwall are now playing in Black and Yellow and not Gold winkeye

I hope the England management and coaches were watching - maybe MJ should ask Ford & Wells if they can get Englands defence up to the Australian standard - and if they can't they should be outta there.
The young Aussi fullback reminded me of Tait during the world cup - I wonder if he'll be rewarded for his good performance by being dropped from the set up alltogether

You're so right 'Nearly'. Steyn was poor and has clearly shown he does not have what it takes to play international 10. PDV now has a tape to show him if ever he gets ideas above his station again. Surprising that the BaaBaas didn't have a back up stand off - then they may have stood a chance. Hats off to Oz, fantastic commitment and defence. Nice to see Wembley turf getting shredded too! winkeye

I loved that match last night. Considering that the Baa Baa's had only trained together twice then I think that they did fantastically well to come so close to turning over the 3rd ranked team in the world!! Great stuff!!!

Amazing commitment, I bet Aust. are smiling this morning with the display of the young players.

Did anybody noticed the Wembley turf and Chris Whites reaction to it? Clearly not to the standard for a rugby game. The 2 injuries to the 2 props were in the area where the turf was ripping up to 6 inches of depth, one of them a broken ankle or torn achilles.

Personally I think a global all-stars game has more value in this day and age than a "Lions who don't have club commitments plus a few random foreigners" collection. Although personally I think it should be played against the no.1 team in the world to have its maximum value.

yet more proof that profesional rugby is not as colourful as amateur rugby used to be.
