guys picked this thread up late. Why ar they letting him play if he has inflammed scar tissue???

Certainly didnt effect him when he clung onto that brilliant catch or is that what made it flair up???

The constant jarring must also cause a lot of irritation and discomfort.Must face what 1000 deliveries a week what with innings, nets, bowling machines, catching etc etc...Why not give him a rest..but then again the Saffers would be well happy if that occured but playing with an injury at that standard is asking for trouble.

"Justice, I think that means...you know lots about lots. Good on you."

Argh, my brain hurts now. I was simply being humble, and in no way trying to big up my intelligence (or lack of).

Aargh, me too, pass the cortisone. Humility assumed all round. Except for Pearl, pass the Schadenfreude.

cricket11, lol you may be right. Some Aussie on here once posted something like "what is with all the spitting on the hand, bad Punter!" Cracked me up. Mind you, if it leads to cracking catches in slips, spit away, I say.

Perhaps the "rap on the wrist" by the fines imposed (by ICC), AB and Mark Taylor comments (during the Nagpur test) and Sutherland (http://cricketnext.in.com/news/ponting-pays-in-warnes-absence-in-dollars/36232-13.html) are hurting Punter... winkeye

Met Ponting last night and he was shocked to hear the news that his career was nearly finished. He did say he had been feeling a little dis-comfort but nothing serious.

Sure he will play all Summer and beyond.
