welshleigh (U12562096) posted Nov 30, 2008 sorry wales but is no longer enough for us to win grand slams and beat average aussie sides in cardiff - have people forgotten we did just that 3 years ago and then look what happened? We lost a great coach and were humiliated at the next WC! If we are to be taken seriously and be respected we must beat SA and NZ its as simple as that. We also have to do something at the WC! People can say what they like bout england but they have done it when it matters. When we have either won a WC or at least reached the final we will then be able to crow a little.

HuwLlew (U6620917) posted Dec 1, 2008 Bambaraloss, the last 2 world cups have no meaning to where you are now. The players are largely different, as are the coaching staff. the pedigree of players available are also different. A lack of room for home grown talent is hindering England. Be realistic. As a Welshman, I know how painful it is to see your national in such a state but thats where you are. The 6 nations will probably only see 2 England wins unless France bottle it in Twickenham again. I wouldn't count your blessings on your two other home games either... Comment on this article |
