Holy Moley

I have to agree with Drganelka on this - fickle? defenitely.

2 games ago MH had to go, DV had to go, Dunne had to go, ...

Now - even Vassell and Hamman played well, sturridge at least was given his chance as demanded on this forum (DID reaonable but not brilliant), hamann did well, Dunne, Hughes himself all did well in facy everybody was perfect.

So on Sunday against the *%&£ should we keep the same team who were first class or bring on people like Robinho, Elano (the subject of much discussion here), maybe we dont really need them anymore?

Seriously, at 2-0 I thought it could have been a chance to give somebody a chance to shine or not, Glaubert, Logan etc.

I might w^nk on him a bit too much even for my liking at times, but I thought Kompany looked excellent in defence.
Robinho will play on Sunday methinks, but I think Hughes will stick with Vassell in front of Elano.

Sturidge isnt class coz he dives, divers have no class. I was watching the game with my mates today and was ashamed to see one of our players diving, especially one from the academy.

I hope he cuts this out of his game as it is not gonna help his chances.

Having said that, he did look like a great prospect today and showed that we must give him some games before january to see what he does, but I think we knew that after his good display against stoke.

this result was not expected as per arsenal game also.

but still im expecting us to loose against our neighbours on sunday.

positive notes to come out of last nights game. Sturridge. Sweet left foot. Brilliant performance from and the rest of the boys. Esp Ireland.... magnificant. What a turn around from last season. Just imagine we was about to sell him to Sunderland.

Leeds fan here (sorry!). I have heard a lot of good things about Sturridge. Do you think he will get an England call up within the next year? Is he good enough? Finally, do you think that with all the brass that City will be chucking around in January that he will have a future at City?

I have to disagree with what most people are saying here because i saw the match on tv and i can honestly say that man city were dreadful.

By their standards that probably means good but by the form they were in for this match they will be lucky to get to the round of 16.

Schalke were the better team in terms of possesion, all city did well was take the chances they had, and like we saw last year with schalke v chelsea, schalke just dont seem to have that cutting edge to get them further in the competiton. City were lucky and by the way i dont think sturridge is a future england prospect.
