comment on the article

Big match time against NEC Nijmegan, currently 8th in the Dutch Eredivision.

Starting X!:

4-4-2

-------------------------Gomes--------------------------

--Gunter----------Dawson--------Woodgate (c)--------Bale--

--Bentley----------Zokora-----Hudlestone---------O'Hara--

-----------------Bent------------Campbell----------------

Subs: César, Assou- Ekotto, Adam Smith,Mason, Bostock, Lennon, Obika.

Team news:Campbell and Gunter replace the cuptied Pavlyuchenko and Corluka. Dawson comes in for Ledley King, who is putting his feet up back in Blighty, whilst Bale and O'Hara come in for Assou- Ekotto and Lennon respectively.

Harry puts his faith in youth, naming a very young bench, featuring 4 Academy players- midfielder John Bostock, full back Adam Smith and forwards Ryan Mason and Jonathan Obika.

Interestingly, 14 of the 18 players named in the starting XI and on the bench are British, 12 English.

I thought O'Hara had a good game. Put himself about a bit. I enjoyed seeing Gomes keep a clean sheet more than anything. He seems like a top bloke and hopefully this may help his confidence.
