Steve Jones will today answer City’s winger SOS by signing on loan from Burnley.

The Northern Ireland international has agreed to a deal until the new year and goes straight into the side to face Leyton Orient in Saturday’s FA Cup clash at Valley Parade.

The 32-year-old’s arrival is a huge boost for Stuart McCall as he waits for news about the injured Omar Daley. The Jamaican was among nine players in for treatment yesterday.

McCall is delighted to capture Jones, who has just finished a month with Huddersfield.

The City chief said: “Steve is looking forward to coming and playing here and we can’t wait to have him. He’s got a good pedigree and plays mainly on the right, although he can also go up front.

“He was a bit unfortunate at Huddersfield. He started two games for Stan Ternent but then got a blister and picked up an infection from the needle that burst it.

“That ruled him out for a couple of weeks and during that time Stan left and Gerry Murphy took over. But he is a good player who will certainly be a boost for us, particularly with Omar being out.

“I must thank the two chairmen for making funds available because these are tight times at the moment. They have been very supportive in what we are trying to do.”

1.Your only as good as your last game!
2.what was your last attendance?
3.Why was your support so poor in your 4 - 0 win? Don't give me any nonsense about not being bothered about Bradford its all you lot ever bleat on about, is it because you where scared!!!!

'Scared'? Scared of what - a few hundred chavvy curry munchers coming to see what life is like at a decent ground.

J23 - Don't start denying you were giving it the big un during the summer. I remember smiley

You said we were going to struggle away on crowds of 9,000 and you would finish above Leeds. You slated me when I told you how bad Stan was. I don't forget these things.

HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY J23!

Hopefully he will get down the wing on Saturday and provide a few crosses for our strikers to get onto - god knows we have missed our wingers !!

9191 - 3 points:-

1. I don't deny I enjoying having a pop at you getting poor crowds - given the size of Bradford. You are badly supported. Fact.

2. I never once said we would finish above Leeds. We did beat them the other week though - unlike you! biggrin

3. Show me where I slated you.

FACTS ARE THE BEST POLICY 9191!

PS - Hi Dickie. How's it going?

No being funny towards Bradford or any other side in league2 but for me that's about his level.Think he would do best for you playing just off your strikers or cutting in from the wing.I wouldn't be expecting too much of him that's for sure
