Premier League Chelsea

I'm very disapointed with tonights result, we were ver poor and we made some of Bordeaux's players better than they really are like, cougoff, or whatever his name is.

I think we're just trying to grind out results this season in the champions league group stages and walk it. I still think our players confidence is a little low from the 2008 CL final disapointment.

Silly tackle by Lampard, why would you go lunging in after already being booked... Great assist pass though for Anelka's goal.

I still think we'll qualify, we have to draw or win against Cluj.

Carefree, do you think that Scolari would be using the left and right full backs frequently to attack teams if we had capable wingers? I dont think so. I think it is because our wingers are hopeless.

Now, I know that somebody would come here to say that Joe Cole has been injured. Yes, but if he Cole thinks he is not fit to play, then, let him tell the coach so that they dont play an unfit Joe Cole who frequently comes on the pitch to mess himself and us up. He should stay on the side-line until he is fit if he thinks that his fitness is a problem. A player has the right to tell a coach that he is not yet fit to play!

I repeat, the main problem of Chelsea is Peter Kenyon who refused to identify targets and area to beef up for Chelsea. Since Scolari was new in the last Summer, he would not have known that our attack was no longer so good. So, it was up to Kenyon and co to warn him about the impending disaster. At Milan, Galliani and Berlusconi identify players that would beef up Milan (e.g. Ronaldinho, Pato, Ronaldo), and coax Ancelloti to accept them.

Since Scolari is so arrogant that he can turn Malouda and Kalou into superstars, Keyon and co should be adamant he Scolari buys in January since Scolari has failed to bring the best out of these two. But Kenyon has already told us "No activity in January" because he is saving Roman's millions for his retirement benefits

Honestly, I do not know what to say about the Arsenal match because I think Arse and Chelsea are at par now: you can no longer put your trust and hopes on any of the two teams, and the two managers are so full of themselves. Arsene believes he can turn kids into champions while Scolari thinks he can turn ordinary players into superstars. I tell you that bothe of them are pretty deluded.

The match is most likely to end in a draw. Honeslty, Chelsea have no edge in the match since our front line is very tepid. Forget Anelka and his goals. I dont think he has enough tricks up his sleeve to really threaten so much.

It pains me so much to remember that Ronaldinho was begging to come to Chelsea but our directors and Scolari did not look in his direction. Peter Kenyon scuppered the deal for Chelsea just as he scuppered the deal to see Ronaldinho at Man United. It was clear to everybody that fully fit Deco at thirty would never be equal to half fit Ronaldinho at 28 in terms of play on the pitch and Chelsea marketing. But Peter Keyon put his hands in shyte by letting Ronaldinho go to Milan.

Eto'o was begging to move over to Chelsea when Chlesea had only Anelka as the fit striker in the squad in the last Summer but Peter Kenyon came out in the media to deny Eto'o.

Now, did I hear you say that afterall, it was Scolari right to identify players? You are wrong there. Scolari signed in July, 08 but by May, 08, the whole world had known that Ronaldinho and Eto'o Wanted to leave Barca. Then Man City and Tottenham started courting Ronald and Eto respectively. That perion was the time Chelsea should have signed Ronaldinho. After all, they signed Bosingwa then. Scolari would have had Ronaldihno at his disposal on arriving Stamford Bridge

Peter Kenyon left Man United and Uited's transfers improved. It is time we all called for Kenyon to leave us.

Another one that should leave is Frank Annesen because he is not doing anything for the 2 million pounds he gets paid every year. How many youngsters has he brought over to Chelsea? Only Di Santo in his three years at Chelsea. What a shame! Di Santo has not even made it at Chelsea.

The issue at Chelsea is that the fans do not have a united voice like the fans of Barca and Juventus. I think, with one voice, we can call for Peter Kenyon and Annesen to leave us because they are no longer useful to us.

Even if Chelsea are owned by one person, we can still influence him to sack Peter Kenyon and co!

thers a real art to playing the anochorman role, mikel asnt got it, y defend him?

iv bin to alot of games this season and i have not seen nethin to impress me about him. hes below average, miniero looked better against burnley than what mikel can offer.

thers no point in defending him, sooner or later as we did in roma, against liverpool at home wer guna get caught out again.

maybe iv just bin spoilt cos i compare his performance to macka n essien in that role, they roam accross the back line making interceptions n getting attacks flowing. mikel struggles at this, he is not gud enuf to b a regular in the chelsea team thats a FACT. my statements r backed up with facts, mikel played well against pompey on the opening day, thats all.y cant people just admit hes crap.

scott parker n smertin wer better players than him for chelsea. even geremi.

As far as joe cole goes he limped off in bordeaux if u ask me, he needs bringing back to full fitness.
any proper chelsea fan knows not to critisise him, as hes proved his talent, and once fit, hes one of the best. Hes a damn good player, and his contribution should neva b questioned, i wuldnt say terry has been great but the injuries hes sustained take there toll , an unfit john terry is still our best defender.
we'll win the league im sure of that, but i dont think we'll do it in the champions league, u have to go away from home n get good results wins preferabley, we wer lucky in CLUJ, crap in BORDEAUX, n awful for 60mins in ROMA. Id rather win the title than owt. will b intersting how we fair against arsenal, then looking further ahead, amn united n liverpool away in january, if get results in these games we'll have a smooth ride till we play arsenal away.

Carefree, last season, Makelele played most of the matches and we still drew 8 matches at home. We were still not able to score more than 1 goal in so many matches. Against Liverpool at Anfield, in the Champions League Semi=Final, Makelele made so many mistakes, and he was responsible for Kuyt scoring the first goal of the match.

Makelele in the last two years of his career at Chelsea started going down the drain especially with splaying passes in the midfield. His passes became poor - the powers that be found this out and that was the reason they let him go. It is a pity that you failed to notice this. If I tell you now that Essien's pass completion is worse than Mikel's, I know you will argue about it.

In supporting the defense, Mike is not so good there. However, in making decisive passes, and completing passes, Mikel is heads above Essien. Too fan, Essien misplaces his passes, and then leaves us vulnerable at the back when he surges forward to score or support the strikers, and then misplaces his passes.

Mikel's game is simple: release the ball to your closest team mate. That is his game. That is why people do not see what he does in a match. However, Essien releases the ball only when he is under pressure and when his closest team mate is under pressure too. It beats my imagination that Essien decides to pass to team only when the team mate has gotten an opponent on him - just watch out for this. At Lyon, his pass completion was poor and this has only improved a little at Chelsea. Essien an Makelele would always try to guatd the ball in their possesion, and then lose it to opponents in the process, instead of releasing it team mate when they were freer to do so. Why they kept on doing that is what I dont know. As defensive midfileders, these two are sure bettter than Mikel. Also, Essien can score. That is all about it.

So, do not tell me about Essien and Makelele because I know about the two like I know the bank of my hand

Guys, encourage Scolari to bring Mikel forward and behold everybody will come to still with his attacking and aggressive stricking force. Mikel is simply getting the ball from the oponents and releasing it to his closest team mate.No body gives him passes, rather he struggles to get the ball and submit to them. If u really want to see what he can do with the ball and the reason why he was a sportlight for Man U and Chelsea play him in centre forward. Forget big names, just play Mikel.

we have proved with talent we could compete with big teams. I'm angry when i see some people saying Chelsea had made some Bordeaux players better than they really are. No, in Bordeaux you have many talented players: Alou Diarra and Yoan Gourcuff(and not courgoff, curgouff...as i could see)play in France squad, Chamakh is a morroco international, Fernando was recently selected by Dunga for the Copa America, Cavenaghi has one of the best goal/match rate in Europe. The first 4-0 was just a bait because Bordeaux hadn't play at all. Don't forget Chelsea is just a money club and without a russian millionary, the Chelsea palmares would be empty.(like other clubs(Man City...) which only rely on businessmen to create an appearance of prestige). Chelsea budget : about 248 M£.
Bordeaux budget : about 66 M£.
What a waste of money to finish on a 1-1 against a "reasonable" team. During this time in Africa, people starve and Ballack or Anelka pockets one huge money check.what's a shame!
i prefer being a fan of Bordeaux who build themselves, season by season, gaining money from different competitions than a footix who support a team of millionaries.
PS:excuse my english
