Hi Everyone

I know the world cup in part is a tad over the top :) but I still enjoy watching this Tournament (Dispite it being on in the early hours in the morning).

I just wana know who you guys think will win the World Cup, But If I was to pick I will go with the Holders Scotland. In the last two years they have been Runners-up and winners. So I think thy could go close again!!

Who do you think will win guys!!!???

No surprises that Sweden won, really. The only country to send two players ranked in the top 10 in the world, both have shown solid form all year and both are experienced at the format, thanks to Ryder Cup experience. Have a look at what the bookies thought BEFORE the tournament.

Wonderful, wonderful stuff from Sweden. Brilliant to watch - how they didn't buckle under the pressure I'll never know.

One thought about the competition, though. I think the two player format makes it less substantial and important than it should really be - we're talking about a World Cup here !!

I'd prefer to see a four player per country line-up with all four playing in the first two days and a cut - half the countries get eliminated - at the end of day 2. More personality, more teamwork, more strategy, more golf and more excitement!

Awesome comeback from Sweden, it looked like a real tough battle to come back on the last day when conditions were great and the front two were playing so well. Caps off an amazing year for Karlsson.

Good idea David Tee. Problem is that most countries couldn't put 4 players out who were ranked in the top 200 in the world. You would thus have to change the scoring format (maybe 3 scores to count?). I agree to a halfway cut, but don't eliminate those teams, let them play for a "B Division" or Plate trophy so that the trip across the world is at least worthwhile

What a year for Robert Karlsson.

Henrik Stenson has been many golf fans pick to land Sweden's first Major for the last few seasons, but the best tallest golfer in the World has to be wishing that his visit to Magnolia Lane was in 4 days time and not 4 months time.

Oh, and one other thing golfers, happy St Andrews day biggrin

Well done to Sweden for winning. Great victory. Great golfers, always entertaining and always professinal. Thier game speaks for itself. A shame about Spain. Jimenez is a great character, a great sportsman and an ambassador for the game. He is also about the same age as Monty. I was so surprised and disappointed that Monty, didn't do better. (Not).

Great to see Stenson doing well. I think Henrik Stenson and indeed Robert Karlsson are both fantastic golfers and the line up at Sun City is pretty exciting. Hope JR has a good weekend and indeed Luke Donald, much missed smoothey of golf is back in action, with a good start. Great to see that old grumpy is nowhere to be seen so no irrelevant side shows or offensive behaviour to the press.
