Bradford's christmas cracker

League Two Bradford City
comment on the article

Morning all,

Just seen the latest season-ticket deal to come out of Valley Parade.

At first glance, £99 to sit in the TL Dallas stand sounds like a great offer - buy your ticket in December for next season and away you go.

Also, you can buy a standard season ticket for £138 if you buy in December, which is back to the previous season's level.

But, should we question why the club are doing this? Hopefully we're not short of a few bob and it's just a way of trying to get some cash into the club quickly.

Or, are we going to lose a load of players in the January transfer window because of their fine performances to date, thus crippling the squad, leaving us to slide down the table and endure another season in League Two? (okay, unlikely!)

Or is it genuinely a thank you to all the fans who have parted with cash and shown great support over the last couple of years?

Personally, I think it's the latter. Let's keep the attendances high, reward those fans who follow in lean years and when we do win promotion, hopefully a few more will sign up at the slightly inflated price.

I applaud the club for this move and hope it proves successful.

Those sort of prices, I might just start to watch Bradford city every week!

Even with travel fare, still works out better than what Bates is charging!

If we start luring Leeds fans through cheap season tickets iamaterrier will think it's immoral.

iamaterrier - well you may be, but a genius you are not! wind-up merchant? More likely.

We started the cheap tickets & Hudders copied us, the only difference being we sold 8,000 second time around and still get attendances of over 12,000. Hudders sold 16,000 first time around and yet only get attendances of 12,000.

I'm buying a ticket for the third year on the trot at £138 and i'm delighted. It won't be long before other clubs have to drop prices too - I think Wigan have done?

You can reward Mark and Julian by repaying their loyalty to our fans by attending the FA cup game against Leyton Orient.Remember Orient dictated the £15 admission for this match.
Your support is needed to lift the club into round 3.

I must admit, my memory of summer events is somewhat foggy.

However IIRC, wasn't the dodgy offer to Halifax Town supporters made by an independent businessman who lives in Halifax.

The club i.e. Bradford City had nothing to do with it.

As for the Orient cup game, it would be nice to see 10,000 there. The reality of a cold, grey, penniless Bradford winter may keep the hordes at bay though.

I will be there come rain or shine, although am a bit disappointed I won't be able to sit in my usual East stand seat. Are Orient really going to bring more supporters than the average L2 team? Really?

I regard Bardford as my second club, so even if im a Leeds fan, means I can watch live football every week(and not the crappy Premier League on Sky!)

Or maybe it's because they feel they need to practically give season tickets away because otherwise noone would turn up laugh

No i'm sorry that was uncalled for, I admit it I'm just jealous that we don't have a reasonable chairman at Leeds who is prepared to give something back to the fans.

Oh and don't even think about it DickieBCFC, you'd have to pay me to sit amongst them hooligans in the dallas winkeye

This room is way too nice.

First of all, screw CleckHuddersFax Town. You are unimportant in this conversation because you are crap.

Secondly, when did Leeds and Bradford fans start stroking each other???

Let's get back to the good old days, when CleckHuddersFax Town were a historical team only crappy than Burnley, Arsenal, Accrington Stanley etc etc...
And let's get back to LUFC and BCFC saying up your aunty, you stay on your side and I'll stay on mine.

What is the World coming to?
