David Coulthard and Eddie Jordan have joined the BBC as part of next year's presentation team in Formula One.

Coulthard, who retired as a race driver at the end of the 2008 season, will join former team boss Jordan as a pundit alongside anchor Jake Humphrey.

Jonathan Legard moves from 5 Live to commentate with ex-F1 driver and award-winning broadcaster Martin Brundle.

And veteran commentator Murray Walker will return to the BBC as a regular presence on the Sport website.

The 84-year-old, who became a household name during five decades of F1 commentary for the BBC, will be offering his expert insight and perspective on the action and interacting with F1 fans through an online Q&A forum.

The pit-lane reporters will be Ted Kravitz and Lee McKenzie.

I would like to thank the BBC for taking the F1 coverage from ITV if only for the fact that there are no adverts now! That said I feel that the coverage is excellent with only one proviso, please give Eddie J his P45. He is just embarassing and there is absolutely no need for two 'expert' pundits.

Eddie Jordan shouldn't be there: he is awful most of time on tv. Of course he has experience but he is not a presenter! Same goes to the new blond presenter. useless - at least he is getting a bit better now. Please come back ITV! I never thought I would say that.
Jordan has personal vendetta against Kimi Raikkonen and he is not able to hear anything but his own opinion. Kimi was not able to continue the race in Malaysia anyway, so why still to make a big deal out of his ice cream? He is far too biased to be in BBC national TV!

Get rid of Eddie Jordan. He never answers a question properly. He always has his own agenda and is always argumentative. Bring back Mike Gasgoyne.

Great F1 Team of commentators apart from one!
Please please please loose Jonathon Ledgard for the 2010 season, leave him somewhere behind on the global travel.
Absolute rubish commentry, puts me too sleep, waffles, utter rubbish.
Bring in Blundel as chief commentator with Coultard - cool. Love the grid walk with Blundel and Coultard great, Knowlede, skill, interesting fab.
Eddie Jordan brings great point differencs, again great.
Also the lead ocmmentator from Norfolk, great job working well.
Please please loose the Ledgard send him back to a dark corner of BBc radio - utter utter rubbish.

Thankyou and look forward to you following through the job.

regards

Domandjonsdad (U11494020) apparently they are going to be using "The Chain" once more. You have your dislike for James Allen but I thought he was a great commentator.

You my friend are intelligent. James Allen is the choice of the intelligent fan and not the bogstandard oaf.

James Allen is brilliant, more in the way in which his commentary was hilarious rather than informative! Allen was often wrong, but was always a humorous listen, Legard is also often wrong, but is tediously boring as well

Could not the prsenters remind all those watching worldwide etc GB is the home of F1 If I am correct 7/8 of the teams are based in the UK with all the talent and engineering skills required. We might not have a UK motor industry but we excell F1( Something the government should be shouting about also)

Please get rid of Eddie Jordan he's terrible and drags the otherwise great team down. Around the grid at the Hungarian he was embarressing!! The rest are great and know what they are talking about unlike JORDAN!
