Will City Get Promoted?

League One Bradford City

I was just wondering what other City fans think of our chances of promotion?
i think we will just about do it as long as we finish in the top 3 as i dont think we would get thru the play offs. we have been beaten by 3 teams who will be up there at the end of the season (shrewsbury, darlington and wycombe) albeit all away from home. our home form has been patchy with some good wins, a loss to bournemouth and disappointing draws with luton, gillingham and barnet. we have been lucky that all the other top teams are as inconsistent as us. We are one of the better teams so we can do it

I hope you do get promoted and com to our ground next season looking for revenge for the O's knocking you out of the FA Cup 2008/2009.

All the best for the rest of the season, (in the league)

We'll end up in the play-offs... who knows what will happen then.

Ciba

On what do you base that?

We've lost all our first team midfield players played the 4 toughest away games and yet still Manage to be 4th

Logically, there is no reason why we will not improve with just 3 of the injured back

The fact we are the 2nd highest goalscorers is not a factor?

It's called an opinion. I base it on the fact I've seen all games this season except maybe two? I just think there will be at least 3 teams who will churn out results more consistently than us. I think we are more than capable of finishing in the top 7 though.

If we kick on after Xmas then maybe I'll change my mind but at the moment it's a big IF and I see no reason why my point of view is less valid than someone saying we'll finish in the auto places.

yes we can, though we really need to get on a run...my feeling is wycombe and darlo will tire a bit in ja/feb and we will find ourselves at the top with shrews....we have to sort defence out though....stuart knows where the problem lies and those 4/5 guys hold our season in their hands.

I think we can do it...I still want us to go on a streak of 5 or 6 wins but I think we can manage top 3...

I want us to avoid the play offs though!

Everyone wants to avoid the playoffs as it is a lottery based on 3 games. As Dave Baldwin said to me earlier this season, we would prefer automatic promotion but, and it is a big but, the playoffs is the best way, financially, to win promotion as it is worth +- £250,000 in additional revenue to the club. The prize money for the league champions is about £30,000.
