Why in blazes was Alisdair Strokosch not included earlier in the tests? He is the most physical back row I've seen in a while and would have been a great key to unlocking SA and NZ.

draboy and iaina atkinson,
After every scottish match, its a real pleasure to come on here and stir it up to see what LOSERS bite...count yourselvs among that number.

As for the 'cheap shot' on ROG's personal life, that was obviously a practiced line by the skirt wearing, haggis bashing, drunken race. Like i said, we have bcome accustomed to the venom the less knowledgeable rugby public have in Scotland.

Only that country can manage to have 2 professional football teams proud of having supporters involved in the age old (and out of fashion) religious feud originating in Northern Ireland. That would't happen anywhere else. Face it, you're sub standard. laugh

Anyway, even though I admitted that I was here to be a Wind Up Merchant (WUM), its obvious that the big cissies from brain shrink land up north didn't catch on. No surprises there eh?

As for being thick draboy....I rest my case, 3rd teir whipping boy, skirt wearing, whisky swilling, haggis bashing LOSERS!!!! run

thulefule,
At least you saw through this irish fan as a wind up merchant. Unfortunatly he's right, these other clowns haven't been blessed with the insight you have, as they have took the bait.
draboy, iain atkinson, and AliMiller, you boys need to have a word with yerselves. Anyone in the rugby world knos this as 'banter', obviously you guys are not rugby players, and if you are, we are in a dire situation. Anyone who bites is a loser.

This Hiho trimble has even admitted he is a WUM and you boys continued to play into his hands and humour him. He has some valid points about scottish rugby, however, i for one am proud to wear my kilt and bash ma haggis, and a dinny care who doesn't like it.

Scotland will get better, and I hope Ireland does to. Truth be told, the Irish deserve to be above us in the World rankings.

So well done hi ho trimble on the windup and congratulations on catching afew prize fish in the scottish fan camp. Honestly, they are not a reflection on the rest of us.

Oban-Wing
Why thank you for your kind words, at last someone who knows what banter is. I am so glad to converse with a rugby fan, who's not ashamed to bash his haggis. laugh

I agree with you mate, Scotland will get better, and by all accounts, will be better than England and Italy, so they might even finish mid table in the 6Ns.

I also agree that other guys are clowns (albeit not very funny)making personal digs at players who are representing their country. Losers!!

ANyway mate, it was a pleaseure winding up the clowns on this thread, like candy from a baby!!!!

Italy for the Grand Slam hahahahahahaha laughrun

HiHo - winding up aside can you please tell me where the evidence relating to the 'choking' emanates from other than Eddie O'S's vivid imagination?
Perhaps you could go further and name the 'coward'/'culprit'? I suspect that the Beeb moderators will have a working knowledge of libel law and we'll be spared your very deep thoughts on this matter.

My club has had a social connection with an Irish club for about 20 years now. I regret to say that on the last two trips to Dublin a lot of the tourists found that 'craic' was in short supply and 'we're the greatest' was the order of the day from Irish fans.
Chill pill please HiHo.

I'm not a rugby player and haven't been for years. However, I'm not going to sit and watch a Mick talk like that. I only post on this thing because I thought it'd be a bit more serious than your average internet forum. The last thing I want to have to read are the inane ramblings of a bloody tottie-muncher.

Red wine cutting in Iain?
Not a nice or funny post at all that.
I'm outta here.

Can we go back to the original point?

Scotland have a wealth of back five players and I think Haddon was just trying out combos.

White is a player who busts his gut for his country and I would like him in the side. Make him second row? But then we have plenty of depth there as well.

Its a conundrum indeed and a nice one to have.

jp - I've always liked White too but having lived for 30 years without an ACL in one knee yet still playing football I unfortunately know the hurdles he is facing - he's actually done pretty well but it could be another year before he's completely recovered. I've always liked fast back-rows over big ones and our tight 5 are bigger than we normally have so can cope. After the 3 games I'd choose Srokosch, Barclay and Taylor start. Assuming White covers blind-side and 2nd row then Hogg would edge out Gray as he covers the entire back-row. Would have been good to see Beattie play, does anyone know what 'A' internationals are planned? Brown, Gray, Beattie and the 2 Rennies would ensure an honest back-row.
