Mark Webber has been badly hurt in an road accident. He was competing in a charity event Mark Webber Pure Tasmania Challenge. He collided head on with a car while he was riding a bike.
He was then airlifted to nearest hospital. It seems that he has broken his a leg and a arm.

He has already undergone surgery for broken leg.

That will rule him out for next 2 months atleast.
Hope you recover soon Mark.

As you see they will need an Australian to replace him.
Sadly no team Italy or Finland.
Surprising seat left in Great Britain and France team.

Get well soon Markie boy.

Surely this is the last of the bad luck. You will be WDC this year, yes? There can't possibly be any more bad luck waiting for you, right?

@ keizo-Yamata

You are baiting us. You are baiting me and all Webber-fans (and even those who aren't) by your words.

It would have been a dreadful loss to F1 had anything worse occured in the accident. F1 would have been poorer without him, and I am glad he will be on the grid next year still.

@MissKarenL

Oh you again laugh

Webber leaving f1 wont make a single difference to F1. He is a nobody. Simple as that.

MissKarenL, Ignore this ignorant little boy. He is just trying to wind you up in a manner which is in very poor taste, but the poor creature has neither the mental capacity nor maturity to contribute anything more intelligent.

I've always considered Mark Webber to be the best driver in F1 to have not won a race, can't help but feel sorry for him, especially doing something he set up himself for his community and people who share his passion, rather than sitting on his behind all day playing Xbox and toying around with his trophy wife...

At least he didnt have to do the whole marathon.

7 days? I'm considering the leg break.

Whole saga has kinda gained him more repect in my eyes though, he's said all the right things, and the fact he has his own charity event and strives for that level of fitness.

Indeed, MissKarenL "F1 would have been poorer without him" as we would have no driver to show their obvious dislike for Hamilton for commiting the 'crime' of walking into a top team and being an aggresive driver

We'd all miss his wit and ready quips

And i'd miss the fact that he's always first to talk to a reporter during the race, usually because he's the first to fall out of the races!!

He is loveable though!! It's great to know that the Aussies have their own version of 'Eddie the Eagle'
