i may be being biased here i dunno, but ita my opinion, yup ally can be seen as a joker etc, but yes he is a winner his medal cabinet and goal tally says that, and he has rangers in his blood, close to his heart etc, for that reason i would overlook his evident lack of high profile management. i think someone who only wants what is good for the club and too see it successful wont do anything to damage that, so i reckon in time once he has leanred from walter, i would have no problems with him taking over. In closing the oly thing i would not like him to inherit from walter is the lack of youths getting a chance

Ally definetely deserves his chance. Everyone at Newcastle wants to see Alan Shearer come in and this is no different. Ally would put that winning mentality into our and at the end of the day that is exactly what you need to win the SPL. And when ally does get the job I'd like to see people like McCall to come in and I'd bring back Graeme Souness to help out. Get people like Durrant and Hateley more involved with the first team also.

Let Ally have a go at being a manager of Rangers. We will never know what happens if we don't let him manage.

As much as I would like it, I don't think it would work. Rangers need a proven manager, and it is not Super Ally at the moment.

I'll sit on the fence with this one, ally was the fans altime favourite goalscorer and a popular guy in the dressing room much so I could'nt see him being strict enough with his mates to kick their arse if need be.I'm maybe wrong but I would rather go for someone like big Tel and take all the hinges of the doors first. What do you all think?

We need Rangers people through and through with the finances the way they are, someone who can motivate what is not the best group we have ever had. Coisty is a legend, he is doing and saying the right things now and Walt is the best tutor he could hope for. Durrant with him, formidable!

No, he would not make a good manager.

Rangers or otherwise.

Fletchermemorial:

Can you expand on your point a little further? I would like to see Mcoist as the Rangers manager but perhaps for the wrong reasons. Im not sure the qualities that make him a popular guy in the dressing room and on TV would necessarily make him a good manager.

Is that where your coming from?

Lets put it this way, with all that he lacks in experience, he can still be no worse than PLG!
