Now on saturday Wales may or may not beat NZ. Personally, as good as NZ are, I believe Wales have every chance of winning.
Anyway, my point is, that if Gatland can install a belief in the team that they can win, that gives us a much better chance of getting a result than we have had in the past.
I could not believe Gwyn Jones comments in the Western Mail that as Welsh captain he never truly believed he could beat the AB's.
When I was a kid I played in a team that lost every game we played one season but not once did I go onto the field believing we would lose. The next season we came second in the league and got to the cup final.
Gwyn doesnt think we will win on saturday but on saturday Wales will have far superior players to Gwyns sides and a captain who has belief in his side.
Lucky the Spartans wern't ruled by Gwyn, can you imagine. "Listen lads we are never going to hold this pass for more than hour, so I say we go and hide in the hills and wait till its all over".
Shame on you Gwyn and go on Wales, kick the AB's a*s

dynamic27's attitude can be seen in his name.

A disgruntled footie supporter jealous of rugby's attention in Wales perhaps?

I support the Bluebirds as well and if they were playing Inter Milan I wouldn't be talking them down 24 hours before the match.

We all know its an uphill struggle.

But we beat France well in the Millennium a few months ago.

And who did France beat in the Millennium a few months before that?

'I not only believe Wales can win on saturday - I firmly believe we WILL win and I would go further, and say that I believe we will win convincingly.'

Cuckoo cuckoo

The welsh optimism, like Ireland's last week is based on nothing but lots of people saying come on lads believe and we can do it. Unfortunately NZ will believe they can win too and they will.

Director of tennis, why will people who don't believe Wales will win be hypocrites if they watch the game tomorrow?Talk sense man. Personally I'll be watching to see how the game should be played and imagine it's the team in black that will demonstrate that. Nothing wrong with admiring the best at any sport.

Wales will not win tomorrow and i will be watching the game to see how the Abs will put Wales to the sword.

Some of us like to think we live in the real world.

And not in cloud cuckoo land.

I think Wales can do it. We have come close in the past and are in pretty good shape to do it this time.

I will be in Auckland watching the match. I may be the only Welsh person watching the match (at 6am) but that is not going to stop me from cheering on our lads in red.

Have some faith people. It doesn't cost anything!

welshraz - I'll be watchin the game at 3:45 in the morning in Adelaide. I have huge belief in this Welsh team and I sense something special. Mainly because half the team have talked up this match and there has never been so much talk from the coaches. We need to score first try, and Jamie Roberts has to crunch Ma'a Nonu early on, because that'll will crunch his confidence - see the Australia game early this year. Berrick Barnes and Matt Giteau were all over him in the first ten minutes and from then on he was either dropping balls or just chucking the ball aimlessly. I also hope Andy Powell, can take that smug look off Ali Williams face! But Williams isn't the sort of player to get intimidated.

Gatland has also stated that we will front up to the haka. Maybe get someone to go up to within a metre of Mealamu who I presume will be leading the haka. Give him a good hard stare. Really eyeball him! It may fire the All Blacks up but it will do the same to us.

And finally to add more coal to the fire, get the crowd singing bread of heaven and hyms and harriers for the first couple of minutes of the game. Don't get someone on the pitch after the haka, get someone to do it in the crowd. It's better to have the songs during the game to give a huge confidence boost to the players. Even if New Zealand get an early attack, don't stop singing.

My prediction: I'll be optimistic and say Wales by 3!

COME ON WALES!!!
