It is time for Wales to beat NZ.

We are definitely good enough. Believing is easy unless you feel that the fifteen Welsh players could never play better than their fiftten NZ counterparts. Of course they can! Granted, the reputations of the NZ players are superior, but of course Shane and Leigh could outplay their opposition. Byrne can put in a world class performance. Shanks and Roberts could come out best over the NZ centres. And our half-backs are more than capable of doing exactly what is needed. In our pack our backrow can definitely outplay the NZ backrow and our front row can get one over the NZ front row. In the past our second row have been a weakness, but Evans and Jones starting Saturday have the potential to be world class.

Come on! Believe because these are grand slammers, proud confident Welshmen and because it is time.

Haha, for one I wouldn't want to see em loose.

Last time that happened Umaga had to beat down Masoe with a Handbag.

I think that for Wales to win tomorrow, then NZ would have to play at only 75% and Wales would have to play at 110%. As it stands, I see a NZ win by 10-15 points. Ruddock's Wales did well in 2004 but that Wales team were really on form with guys like Henson and Shanklin carving up midfields, Alfie being a right handful and Dafydd Jones and Charvis in the form of their lives at the breakdown. On top of that, NZ took that game lightly and picked a fairly weakened side.

I don't see any creativity in the Welsh midfield with Jones/Roberts at 10/12 and sadly, Shanklin is way off his form of the last few years. Charvis has gone, Ryan Jones is off form, we're missing Bennett and JT who seem to get the Ospreys and Wales lineouts functioning properly. Also, Mike Phillips will be sorely missed at scrum half where he acts as an extra back row forward - Cooper seems afraid to get stuck in and we get turned over a lot.

I really thought that Ireland might have got close last weekend but as usual, NZ are on fire and were ruthlessly clinical in taking the few chances they had. I expect the same again tomorrow. They'll expose any mistakes (and we are making plenty) and if we gift them lineout ball (as we do every match) then it will be curtains. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for the performance of a lifetime and I'm sure the boys will front up and give them one hell of a game, but I feel that NZ are probably 15 points better than us at this current time. I would call it a lot closer if the whole Grand Slam team were fit and on form but I feel that this is a slightly patched up Wales team at the moment sadface

Interesting article by JJ, just adds to the proof that until we've beaten NZ a couple of times we can never have a Welsh coach. We need people who have played amongst and beaten the best.

Self belief plays such a huge role in rugby. Growing up in the 90's I thought we'd never beat England but we have and can do it, the belief is there that we can. We just need to step it up now.

Say what you want about England and how they play, sometimes a kicking game but at the end of the day, they've stepped up and taken on the challenge.

I have to agree, if we had our full compliment out we may just have had enough belief.
We need to remember that we have not come really close to a full AB`s team for numerous years. So this is THE test tomorrow. I am not overly concerned about Shanklin, Byrne and Williams etc. We need this front five to come up with a MoM performance and announce themselves on the world stage.
If we can compete and meet them with real intensity; then that will be one hell of an improvement over past displays. Lets just grab it by the scruff of the neck and give some real CALON! And then wait and see

"We are definitely good enough.*

No you are not, its a mis-match.
All Blacks to win easily.
Martin Williams is the only world class player in the Wales team.
England will get walloped by the AB's as well.

doh Idiot.

I think you will find Shane Williams is a world class winner.

If you disagree, I'm afraid your rugby knowledge is sadly lacking smiley

Now feel free to take a running jump, numpty.

Can you expand on this please because I think you are talking rubbish. The AB's back three have completely outplayed all opposition so far this season.
